Welcome back my fellow Neopians! Oh boy, I was just watching the last matches on the live feed we have here from the colosseum, and were they ever great! But I'm not going to be sitting here yakking to you about the matches, let's go to Mouseykins, live at the colosseum!

Thanks Lydia, I'm standing outside the colosseum tonight. Quite the interesting day of matches! Darigan Citadel went head to head with Virtupets yesterday, and that was a solid win for Darigan. They almost swept the Robots! The only game Virtupets won for the day was Make Some Noise. This left the Minions with a three-game win of Yooyuball, Slushie Slinger and Shootout Showdown.

The most impressive match up of the day was Moltara against Faerieland for the second time this week. The Hotheads swept the Faeries without so much as a scorch mark! Last time Faerieland went up against them, Slushie Slinger ended in a draw and many melted slushies. Today, the Hotheads pulled themselves together and took that Slushie Slinger win.

Moltara is off to a wonderful start this year and has nearly avoided being swept, with the exception of Darigan Citadel. When the Hotheads faced off with the Mermaids they pulled a win for Slushie Slinger - which was the only other time they lost Yooyuball.

For the final match in this bracket, the Pirates were up against the Mermaids. Krawk Island scored a win in Make Some Noise and Slushie Slinger, leaving the Mermaids and the Pirates in a draw for Yooyuball and Shootout Showdown.

Wow, what a great day for Moltara!

This is Mouseykins on location outside the colosseum, mourning the sweep of Faerieland. And now back to you, Lydia.

Thanks for that, Mouseykins! Insert witty remar - [cough] I mean, thanks, you know what? Let's just move onto the next bracket.

In the Alabriss bracket, the Suns were fully eclipsed by the Moons. The sweep was expected, as Altador has historically done poorly. Hopefully they shine through tomorrow's match against the Dinos. Meteor showers would, however, disqualify the team, so please don't try that, Suns fans!

Brightvale was able to hold its own against the Dinos today, able to take both Slushie Slinger and Shootout Showdown. However, the Dinos took Yooyuball and Make Some Noise. To finish off the bracket, Meridell's roll continued with the match against Kiko Lake. While both teams have been doing well so far, Meridell proved to be stronger in all the games but Slushie Slinger.

In the Minitheus bracket, Mystery Island was able to sweep the Haunted Woods for the second time this tournament. The Mummies nearly did the same to the Terrors, but Terror Mountain managed to keep an icy hold on Shootout Showdown. Roo Island kept Shenkuu at bay, but the ninjas snuck in a few extra yooyus past the jelly chia - which is terrifying with its teeth by the way - and also take Shootout Showdown.

Originally, the gamemakers said they had rearranged the tournament format in hopes that the traditionally lower-placed teams do better, and it seems to be working. Both Kiko Lake and Moltara have had extremely strong starts. Also, by shortening the whole tournament to 24 tributes- days, I meant days - fewer team members will get burnt out!

For today's matches, Moltara will be facing off against Virtupets. Last year's last place and first place. Moltara has only been completely swept once, and pulled off a sweep of their own against Faerieland, which has traditionally placed higher. This will be the match to watch folks!

Kiko Lake will also be facing the Kikos, I mean the …bleck, Moons.

You know what? I think I need another slushie. Or coffee. And no one better have put rancid dung brew in the machine again or I'm quitting.

This is Lydia, reporting for The Daily Neopets, signing off. Good night, and good luck.
