gloomrain Posted September 18, 2014 Share Posted September 18, 2014 :whistle: Ha ha so the transition of Neopets over to JumpStart and driven me to drastic measures - although I feel pretty hermitish for not realizing forums like this existed earlier. Change is scary, but exciting! I'm devastated to see Habi go (and flabberghasted I didn't try for level 50 sooner - honestly, the Neopoints I've heard people earn from it is crazy!) but excited to see new things come in. As a user who can't play flash games to save my life or have the intellectual skill or patience to work out Stocks or Food Club, etc, I reveled in using Habitarium so I hope something similar pops up soon. While I wait I suppose I will have to focus on college. How droll. Ha ha So how are all of you coping with this Neo temporary closure? Doing Test Your Strength and Scratchcards, and whatever else I feel like when not battling or doing dailies. lol Like now, I having trouble sleeping, and a little mindless time on Neopets would be nice. Oh well, in the meantime, I can devote a bit more time to my animation project. I'm nearing the end of it, finally! :D If anyone is interested in seeing some of the animation tests... I'm completely self-taught and using 15 year old programs for the graphics. I feel like Neopia would maybe look like a cool abandoned Amusement Park - like Movie World. Except, I can imagine all the faeries and villains and such being off-duty, helping pack their things, and sitting having coffee together. Oh My Gosh. I am so inspired to make a comic now. Just - Just imagine. Dr Sloth having tea and buscuits with Lord Darigan and Pant Devil, discussing how he feels such and such a plot 'would be a wrong move for his character - I'm feeling like a new hair style could be nice'. And Fyora in her Pajamas drinking coffee while she listens to Lord Kass talking about 'taking the wife and kids for a nice vacation through the transition'. I may have gone to far, but now that I'm picturing all the Neopets characters like this, I can't stop! Ha ha Edit: And yes, I finally have some time to be productive. I'm bad at the games, but enjoy playing them. I hope they'll get the battle dome together and we'll see the return of the Defenders series. I went to this place called the gym, now I know how our pets feel after training. & I was in my guild getting ready to write back one of my friends that said "Their late :D" I clicked reply & saw the sad page. Worst thing when I first started was pages wouldn't load due to lack of bandwidth. At the bottom of the yellow toolbar it would say "cannot load page due to bandwidth. Please refresh." And I would spend hours just trying to get to the shops page and I remember thinking how awful neopets was then. I think I took a break, came back and didn't have a single problem with it. Hooked ever since. But this is just weird for me. I'm kind of going crazy. I bought a sketch pad though for a dollar (bargin hunter right here) in an effort to productively hone my drawing skills and get something together for the BC once neo is back up. I also want to try and get my pet's some trophies so I'm gonna work on their characters and get them solid. But I cleaned today. Like that's how I know this is bad. haha. My parent's company moved into their building around 1999, and now they're moving around this time too! :shiftyeyes_anim: Is it just a coincidence? I remember how there used to be a lot of visits from the Red Pteri, and I would spend hours playing the games only to refresh and be a bit said that they were gone.
