Title. In the past hour, I've had 9 people stop me, tell my hair is beautiful, and ask to touch it because they've never seen purple hair. I feel pretty! Tell me some of your dye stories!

This is my fourth color so far if you're wondering. :)

hahah welcome to the purple hair club!! xD

I'm a natural red head, and I actually really like my natural color but I like to experiment now and then. I dyed it like red, red in high school a few times but it washed out quickly. Then for a few years I used to just dye the bottom half dark brown and that was probably my favorite look...although I do like my current purple :)

Purple has always been one of my favorite colors to dye my hair. But I've dyed mine every color or the rainbow, except green. Never really got around to it but my hair started to get a little damaged so Ive been taking a break from the whole dyeing process. My hair is currently an Orangy red

I'm surprised my hair isn't damaged. I had to bleach it three times to get it light enough to dye yesterday (my hair was previously dyed blood red and I wanted a light purple), then the dye had to be reapplied twice. So I had six treatments in one day. If anything, my hair is thicker than it was before.

Awesome! It's always nice to treat ourselves to things that make us feel beautiful. :)

I've only dyed my hair once - my cousin did it for a hairdressing exam and it was really nice, just a deeper brown colour. I'm too cheap to do it regularly though, LOL

^I don't dye it professionally. I do it from storebought box kits. :) I also don't cut my hair professionally; I do it myself. I'm the epitome of a cheap college student when it comes to getting my hair cut and dyed, haha!

I think my most favorite style of dye that I did to my hair was bleach what would be my bangs (I had them longer than the rest of my hair, to the middle of my chest and the rest up to my shoulders) then dyed one half blood red and the other a deep purple. But I guess my hair didn't take too well to it, so it came out pink and lilac o.o Then after a while the lilac turned orange and the "red" was then a hot pink! It held well over two years though. My job at the time tried to get me to dye it back but I told them it was product placement since I bought it from there.

That is so awesome!! I love purple hair, and its definitely a trending thing right now. Ive dyed my hair every color of the rainbow except for orange! I just recently bleached it, it took two processes to get it almost completely white. I love it, with my dark roots coming in it looks like an inverted ombre. Reading the other posts and seeing what you girls have done to your hair is quite intriguing. I wish my hair wasnt so damaged or id do color changes every few months. Gotta keep up with the jones you know. :P

It's nice to hear people's stories about awesome hair :D

My friend was art captain at our school and dyed her hair purple on our last year. We have prety strict uniform rules, but she was so awesome and arty everyone just let it pass. It turned blue at the roots after a while and even a sort of sea blue colour. It was pretty awesome, she looked as though she had an ocean on her head :P

I'm naturally dark blonde/ light brown and I've always wanted to dye my hair like a dark red/ auburn like mym mum had when she was young. Maybe I will soon.
