When I go to any Neopets page it redirects me to a link that the opens then Apple App Store to try to get me to download an App. Never heard of spyware on an IPhone. Not that this is happening to you while on Neopets, but, for awareness, have you heard of the Apple iOS "masque attack"? It "allows an attacker to substitute malware for a legitimate iOS app under a limited set of circumstances." More info may be found here: https://www.us-cert.gov/ncas/alerts/TA14-317A. iOS users can protect themselves by "1. Don’t install apps from sources other than Apple’s official App Store or your own organization. 2. Don’t click “Install” from a third-party pop-up when viewing a web page. 3. When opening an app, if iOS shows an “Untrusted App Developer” alert, click on “Don’t Trust” and uninstall the app immediately." WireLurker appears to be the first "masque attack" released "in the wild". It "targeted iOS mobile devices via infections through USB connections to Mac OS X and Windows machines." WireLurker was mainly found on iOS devices in China, but, with Apple Pay coming online/expanding, it would not surprise me if more "attacks" happen.
