Drackonack Avatar Advice

Hey there!

I've been trying to get this Drackonack avvie for hours, I have both cheese and vegan cheese and I've organised them in the order recommended on the avatar page but I've also filled my inventory with about ten other cheap cheese items. My question is do you think the other cheese items are raising or lowering my chances of getting the avatar? Or indeed, not making any difference, just keep refreshing?

Many thanks,

Heidi

I did the exact same thing, and it took me ages - days or weeks (I can't remember) of refreshing a lot every now and then. I eventually sat and refreshed a lot at one time and the drackonack finally ate the 'cheese'. It's just an evil dr. sloth inspired avvie that takes forever to get.

If you're really over it maybe give holding down refresh a go for a few seconds? I know you can do that for avvies like the graveyard and getting battledome challengers, but I wouldn't make a habit of it, just in case.

Hope that helps.

Thanks very much for the reply! I've got an ebook and a few articles open in other tabs so what I'm tending to do is every half an hour or so going to my inventory and refreshing for a few minutes.

Perhaps you might be able to help with another avvie? I let the ghost lupe defeat me soundly in the BD to get the Hello, little Lupe... Boom avatar and didn't get it. Is it because of the new(ish) BD or does it have to be a real player with a Lupe that I fight?

that lupe avvie, I don't get it. this is what each of the guides say:

tdn: Lose a fight with a Lupe in the Battledome.

sunnyneo: Own a Lupe and lose a fight in the battledome, or

Lose to Balthazar in the 1 Player Battledome.

jellyneo: There are many ways to obtain this avatar: Lose with or against a Lupe in a 2-player fight in the Battledome; lose with a Lupe against the Ghost Lupe in a 1-player fight; or lose to Balthazar in a 1-player fight with any species of pet.

but fighting bathazar has never worked for me and I just tried the ghost lupe and it didn't work either :/ I'd suggest finding a lupe and just fighting it in a 2 player fight.

Yeah, I think that's probably the best idea unless someone else has tried that? Or someone who has a lupe and tried it?

On a lighter and slightly dopey note, I thought I still needed to get the 'Dark Nova' avatar and just spent a whole 5np on a Scroll of Dark Nova and attached it to Sabatiea and wondered why I didn't get the avatar. Silly me!

Edit: Still trying to tempt the Drackonack with lovely cheese, I've even changed my site theme to basic in case it helps.

I believe the Drackonack Avatar is one of those that just takes time and it is different for everyone. I had a few other cheese items in my inventory and refreshed like crazy and it didn't work. So, I bought Cheese and Organic String Cheese and had the order of Organic String Cheese, Drackonack, Cheese and, again, refreshed like crazy. Still no luck. I then cleared out my inventory so I only had the three items listed in the order mentioned. Refreshed like crazy and still no avatar. I then did a few dailies and a few refreshes, still with no luck. I finally ended up keeping my inventory page open, but not doing anything on Neopets and not refreshing. After a few hours, I went back, refreshed a couple of times and, finally, the Cheese was gone! And had the avatar! I think I also did that over two days, so you will eventually get the avatar.

Still trying to get him to eat the cheese. I was on the phone to my mum earlier and she asked about it and I made a joke about feeling a bit like David Attenborough.

And here we have the mysterious Drackonack - thought to be immortal or magical in times gone by due to that fact that they are rarely seen to eat. It turns out the Drackonack is quite mortal but just very food shy, it has been known for them to starve to death when under constant surveillance.
