It's a game of chance, so you may invest a bunch and come out with nothing. I usually stay away from that stuff because I've never really had luck with those types of games, but I will occasionally get one from a random and use it. While of course, it's all random and comes down to luck, if you only use a couple, you're less likely to get anything valuable. I've seen someone here on TDN post their results when they spent millions of purchasing nerkmids and then recorded what they received and what the items were worth. I don't remember how many they used, but in the end, with all of the PBs they received, they ended up getting more than they originally spent. It required millions of NP worth of nerkmids though. AlwaysProcrastinating Posted August 2, 2015 Share Posted August 2, 2015 I saw someone post somewhere about how lucky they got, two platinum nerkmids in the space of two weeks (or something) and they got two really rare paint brushes! That obviously made me want to go out and buy hundreds and hundreds of platinum nerkmids...but I'm still deterred by the prospect of potentially getting something worth hardly anything, and spending 50 000NP on it. The intitial investment is just way too big for me to feel comfortable with it. Nerkmid prices are really steady, but paint brush prices fluctuate so much. It's a little too scary for me. Hyperboley Posted August 19, 2015 Share Posted August 19, 2015 I know this topic is slightly old, but to add a counter-example to show how risky Nerkmids are here's a link to a reddit post about a user that spent about 57mil on 1000 nerkmids and tallied their results: https://www.reddit.com/r/neopets/comments/1xzg1m/i_used_1000_nerkmids_here_are_my_results/ They ended up losing about 11mil overall, so definitely a net loss there.
