Hey everyone!

I just came back home after spending a month touring the USA East Coast!!!!! I had an awesome time but I am so glad to be back at home in my own bed  :laughingsmiley:

Has anyone else recently been on holidays? Where have you all gone, or where do you want to go?

Also I never really introduced myself on here... I'm Sarah, I'm 24 from Australia. I'm a receptionist and a student, and other than travelling I like reading and having a bit of a laugh with my friends on the weekend!

Hi Sarah! I'm Alana. Most recently (June) I spent 2 weeks in New York City. I LOVE NYC! This time I went to celebrate my brother's graduation and do some shopping of course!

Wooo NYC!!! I spent 5 days there and had such an awesome time :) The shopping was intense!!!! I think my fav part of NYC was the Intrepid museum it was so cool!

Hello to both of you!!  I am Tracy, East Coast, Massachusetts here.  You never really hear about how beautiful the East Coast/the Atlantic Ocean is.  Kudos to both of you for the shout out to East Coast USA.  There are lots of great places to visit on the East Coast.  You have Hampton Beach NH, Cape Cod MA, Long Island NY, NYC, Wildwood NJ, Atlantic City NJ, Myrtle Beach SC, Virginia Beach VA, Daytona/Daytona Beach FL, Orlando FL/Disney, Fort Lauderdale FL, Miami/Miami Beach FL, just to name a few.  There is a whole lot more, but I thought I would name a few.

Having my sisters being born in NY and talk about how great it was to go to the shore when my parents were bored and how it takes 3 hours for us to get to the Gulf of Mexico beaches when we are only 50 miles away on a map.  :laughingsmiley: One time my parents took us to NY-PA (for a funeral) but I was only 8 months old and didn't remember the 2 feet of snow that my sisters played in.  :sad01_anim: But we also went to visit when I was 5 years old and NYC was big and amazing, what I could remember of it.  :rolleyes_anim:

Welcome back, sezzzzzzy ! Your vacation sounds ideal and I hope you get caught up in NP in no time. Can you post your Wish List in the Christmas in July thread so we can quickly get you something you collect or want? Thanks!  :santa:

Whoo! East Coast! I love it SO MUCH! I'm from North Carolina myself.  :laughingsmiley:  Did you by any chance visit there? Last year, I visited NYC for the first time and loved it! I wish I could have seen way more as we were only there 1 day....

One of my cousins visited Australia not too long ago. He loved it! He brought to my attention that Australia is as big as the United States? I was surprised! I could not imagine seeing everything there is to see in the USA in just one vacation. I guess if I ever get to visit Australia, I'll have to stay for awhile!

Oh, by the way, I'm Nicole. Nice to meet you, Sarah! :)

Hi Sarah, glad you had a nice time visiting the US East Coast. I live in California, so West Coast, but I went to college in Virginia and lived there for two years and West Virginia for two years. I got to visit so many places (NYC, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina, Washington DC, to name a few). Of course I looked forward to going back home to my family after I graduated, but I really enjoyed my time on the East Coast.

The only other country I've visited is Canada, had a great time there, but I'd love to visit Australia one day as well.

Welcome to the boards, good to have you here!

I'm Riley, by the way =)

Hey I went to the Intrpid as well!! On Memorial Day too! It was great!

I went to College in NY; New Rochelle and Bronx to be exact and I lived in Brooklyn for a while after college while I did my internship. Plus I have family there in Queens and Mt. Vernon so when I visit we go Long Island as well. I've been to Hunter Mountain for skiing and snow boarding, I went to a farm upstate when they had pick-your-own apples and pumpkins and complimentary warm cider  :laughingsmiley: Went to Dorney Park too in CT and got lost lol. I did Ice skating in Central Park, free concerts in the various parks, the NYC Aquarium, Bronx Zoo and Botanical Gardens, Edgar Allen Poe park during the EAP celebrations, Halloween Parade for Halloween, kayaking on the Hudson, a yacht tour of Manhattan, the museums, theatre... I've done so much in NY, there's always so much to do and it's really like my second home.
