plug in failure trying to customize?

Recommended Posts

Anyone else experiencing this? I try to do a new customization on my pets once per month...

September's outfit on my Spteri was below my usual standards. I planned to do her first so I wouldn't have to see the hideous September outfit any longer... I made up a much better October outfit on DTI and was pumped to get her dressed but the stupid plug-in failure has her stuck looking like a goof even longer, ugh.

Anyway, just wondering if this is something on my end or if anyone else is having issues trying to customize.

Edit: I just discovered that I am able to customize one of my pets, nalelan, but none of the others.. I tried making different pets active but it seems to make no difference.

You probably have too many items in your closet. I know TNT allows up to 1,000 items, but my computer can't handle anything more than ~300. Try removing some and see if that works ^_^

You can have 1000 items in your closet? I thought you were only allowed to have about 600... Am I wrong?

Fact checked myself *lol* We're both wrong. It's 650 items. However, you do have the option to turn the limit off.

As Brianna said, if you go into your preferences, approx. half way down you will see "closet limit (650 items)"  You can check the box to turn OFF this preference, however your closet may run even slower than it already does.  lol.  :sleeping_02:

Well, I didn't have any luck removing items (possible I just hadn't removed enough) but I did get it to work on another computer. She looks much better now! And if I ever have it happen again at least I'll know now I can just try removing more items!!

Not sure if it would help, but you could try clearing out your browser's cache, history and cookies, especially after clearing items out of your closet. Flash may keep closet info in temporary files or cookies. Clearing them out may cause new ones to be created, but with your now updated closet info.

I will definitely try that too. Despite the fact that it works on my work computer I feel like it should work on my laptop too - considering up until last week I had no issues customizing any of my pets on my laptop and the thing is pretty new.. Thanks for the advice!

Just thought I'd weigh in here because I have a lot of trouble customizing too.  When I went to get a new lap top last year, my only real requirement was that it would be able to handle Neopets.  I was assured it was powerful enough and could handle all the flash that Neo requires.  Well, it can't.  I have a pretty standard no frills Dell (mostly because of the decent price) and this thing struggles so hard with customization.  I have to keep the items in my closet to under 50 items and it still doesn't work most of the time.   So now what I do is create outfits on dress to impress (which works just fine) and put only those items into my closet.

Its time consuming for sure...  Needless to say, I can't wait until I can afford a Mac again!  lol
