  1. Right, also, the anagram swords have a maximum possible damage of 24 icons. 16-24 basically, so your seasonal attack pea beats them hands down. Even Sword of Malum/Blazing Embers are slightly below the anagram swords. So if you have something close or comparable, they are not worth the high price-tag. I did a lot of comparisons for my own set after Sword of Malum and Blazing Embers came out from the Wraith Resurgence plot. We got some good weapons from those, even if they are no trade. And that's probably why, because they are almost as strong as the anagram swords. Just a few icons shy.
  2. lol Wow, I hope you got a lot of good rest afterwards then! And you're very welcome!
  3. GOOD NEWS! We have an article to help with that! https://thedailyneopets.com/battledome/faerie-abilities Those abilities highlights with Yellow are the recommended abilities. For Level 10 our guide doesn't have a highlighted ability, probably because it's up to you, they're all pretty equivalent to each other. I have the 'meh' ability for level 10 because I tend to focus on defense. Otherwise, I would recommend following the Yellow-highlighted abilities as laid out in the guide. But feel free to diverge if you feel like it.
  4. Yeah. Oh well, I'm sure there's nothing TNT could do about it, it's not like it's against the rules. As for the scoring, I remember hearing that as a rumor, but there's no way that I know of to confirm it. I think TNT would keep it to 1 win =1 point across the difficulty levels, because that way a new player with a weak pet could contribute just as much as a veteran player with a strong battle pet. It makes it an even battlefield. But that's just my own theory. Likewise, there's no way to confirm it. lol
  5. I don't know if there's a scoring system beyond wins, but I did happen across someone's profile who I believe is an officer in that large guild that goes after the obelisk in the skirmishes. They seem to have a bounty list, rewards for those who do an exceptional job and can prove it for doing literally hundreds of battles each skirmish. It's no wonder whichever faction they choose tends to win, with a reward system like that. That being said, I always knew this would eventually happen from the day we found out the skirmishes were going to be an on-going thing. And I loathed that thought, it's simply annoying that I ended up being right because one guild basically controls the skirmishes now. Instead of it truly being up to the luck of the draw. That guild decides who to go for, and the rest of us can only guess and hope for a coinciding selection. Rather kills a fair amount of the fun of it, imho anyway.
  6. Ah, Hanso Charisma Charms are not worth hardly anything anymore, they were a plot prize originally. They block all darkness and have a 10-icon attack. So they are a small step down from The Mystical Tablet. You don't need them. Sure! During battle, open and check in the combat log, it'll be on the left side, under your pet, it will say the damage you take, and that includes the icon types. Though you for the 1p opponents you can also know what they use by checking out the 1-player profiles of Secret Battledome Challengers. TDN has these here. Under the heading Active Challengers. https://thedailyneopets.com/battledome/secret-challengers Click the challenger you wish you fight and you will see their stats and equipment. Click on their equipment and you will be taken to that item's item database entry with it's stats, what types of icons and how many of each icon it does. As well as special effects that might be known. If you know what icon types might be prevalent in your opponent's arsenal, then you can plan the proper defensive gear for it if you need it. Whenever the new plot's battle phase starts, that's something we at TDN will be figuring out. What the new opponent(s)' weapons are and if there are any new ones, what they do. Then we will create a new entry for them in their own plot section. So when the battles start, please stay tuned as we will be working to figure out the info and get it up asap.
  7. Hey congrats on hitting 100mil! Yeah, I think so. Varia is the Bomb is only once per battle, but if you use it with Seasonal Attack Pea and the faerie ability Lens Flare, that's a lot of icons getting through to your opponent on your first turn. Ah ok, thanks. I guess I was remembering incorrectly and it only blocks 2 icon types. Darkness is fairly easy to block/reflect, especially with Hanso Charisma Charms having been part of the Daily Quest Rewards pool. But Physical can't be reflected and not many pieces of equipment can completely block physical. So I'd suggest keeping it in case you need defense against either of those two icon types. Plus doing 9-icons of damage while defending 2 whole icon types is a pretty fair trade. Plus the slight healing might save your bacon someday, either cumulatively or by lucky happenstance
  8. Hey @GillyTook! Congrats on getting the soup!! That will cover your healing needs for a VERY long time! Sword of Malum might be useful for it's icon types if needed, but otherwise you could unequip it and put it in your SDB. The Mystical Tablet, I don't recall what I read about it, but if I recall, I believe it has 100% blocking of 3 icon types, so it might come in handy. I'm sure I mentioned them in a previous post in this thread. I'm just not up for searching for it right now. As for the bombs. You COULD go for a G-bomb. Or, you might try a Varia is the Bomb instead or two. First, here is the information on your current bomb, and the other two items. Thistleberry Pingrenade 13-24 total icons Varia is the Bomb 4.8mil on the TP/Auctions 25 total icons Ghostkerbomb 7.3mil on the TP 21-30 total icons 6.77mil in the below linked Auction https://www.neopets.com/auctions.phtml?type=bids&auction_id=199590799 Your current bomb is fairly weak at 13-24 icons, you could actually unequip it. Varia is the Bomb, does not count as a bomb but it IS once per battle. Still, combing this with your Seasonal Attack Pea (28 icons) would give you 53 icons of damage once per battle. Ghostkerbomb, has a high maximum of 30 icons, but it rarely reaches that high. It seems more likely that it hits 21-25 icons. If spending the extra few million for a G-bomb is worth it to you, you could get it then. Otherwise, if you want to save some NP, I would skip the bombs and go for a Varia is the Bomb. If you got BOTH, then you would have 2 turns that could deal HIGH icons. 49-58 icons combining Seasonal Attack Pea with Ghostkerbomb. It really depends on what you want to do and how much NP you want to spend, Remember that some defensive items might be good for the plot when it starts. The Mystical Tablet will help there, there are other icon types to defend of course, but there are other shields that aren't really expensive that can take a chunk out of most icon types. So maybe don't worry about it for now. But keep some NP just in case.
  9. Congratulations @Naamah D.! So is this your first apartment then? Quite a big step! I hope the move goes super smooth!
  10. @granny63020, your set looks fine for now. The only defense item I could suggest would be a Thyoras Tear. It blocks 100% of damage for 1 turn Once Per Battle. But it's super expensive right now like every other good piece of equipment with the impending battle plot. You could possible go with the one use version, the Thick Smoke Bombs which can be bought from player shops or from the Secret Ninja Training School. They do the same thing, but once they are used, they are gone for good. I think your set is fine for right now, so don't worry too much about it. When the battle plot comes out, I'm sure we'll be testing the opponents for their arsenals and abilities. I'm sure that neither of us will likely need to change your gear for most of it. Even for the final boss, we might be ok, if it's like the Wraith event where we got Sword of Malum and Blazing Embers from. I'M hoping it will be a little more epic than that though, more on the level of the Obelisk War would be my preference.
  11. Hey @granny63020, sorry I didn't see this sooner. I just wanted to clarify, thatI didn't mean your defense-stat when I said "Not a lot of Defense", I meant defensive items. Your defensive stat, like your Strength stat is already above the maximum of 750. But since, like I also said, you can beat your opponents easily so far, you probably don't need other defensive gear until you have an opponent you can't beat in a couple of turns. Which MIGHT be the battle-plot TNT says is coming. Your set is good for now though. IF there's an opponent you need more defensive items for in the battle plot, you can worry about it then, since we have no way of knowing what defensive items will be effective before then.
  12. For now @granny63020, I'd say it looks good! Not a lot of defense, but that's ok when you're fighting opponents that you can beat in a couple of turns.
  13. Sounds like your pet has some very nice stats @discobiscuit! Why wouldn't you increase your pet's HP further? Sure, you can take on MOST 1p opponents on easy and many on Mighty right now, but it might come in handy if you want to challenge opponents on stronger difficulties. Who knows what TNT has in store for us with the battle plot? Good luck getting enough faeries for the level 500 ability! I chose Summon Monoceraptor for my peophin. It's not bad, though I wish it was more than once per day. I use FQFCs too. It can be quicker, and when you do get the faerie you want, you get more points than simply training. Also, one thing to consider, a FQFC is basically $1 of NC for 9 days. But that can be better if you don't have, or don't want to spend millions of NP on Red Codestones. Especially in this pre-war economy. I augment with occasional training and Kitchen Quests, when they're under 5-10k. I only need to work on HP right now too.
  14. Thanks for adding your confirmation to the conversation @discobiscuit! So did you finally max out your Strength and Defense, so you could focus on HP? All that training of nothing but level, man I can imagine how frustrating that must've been!
  15. @GillyTook, that sounds like a good plan! Regarding Kitchen Quests. At least there's no penalty if you don't feel like finishing them. I recommend price checking each of the 3 or 4 items your asked for before you buy any. Lately I've been getting thrown some curve-balls when trying to do a Kitchen Quest. There'd be 2 or 3 reasonably priced items requested, 1k-2k or so, and then one that is over 10k. While it'd be worth it NP-wise to try it for a random stat point, I only need to work on my HP, so if I get a worthless item or low amount of NP back, or the stat point goes to some other stat, it's not very good. So I keep checking and hoping for a lower priced-quest. As I'm trying hard to save my NP to upgrade my battle gear. My point is, just be wary of how much each item costs and do what you feel you can afford per quest. You can complete up to 10 on-site quests a day. Snow Faerie, Edna, Kitchen Quests, all count toward the 10. The counter resets at midnight NST. And the time to complete the quests seems to be between 2 and a half to 3 and a half hours pretty often. Good luck!
