But, dangit, the thing about the random contest is that it gives people a chance to enter for FUN and prizes if it's something they can do! And if one contest is something some people CAN'T do, there's hope that the next contest MIGHT be something they can! I for one would've loved to upgrade my trophy, if at all possible. D; Not just for the avatar and trophy, but for having the sake of participating and finally being in one of the winning groups even if it would take years of entering. Honestly I haven't participate in any contest yet, because either I don't understand it, or I just have no idea what to send. Well, now that I think about it, the other day I tried with mystery pic, obviously I didn't win, I didn't expect it so, but since I didn't have anything to lose... Anyway, the cards contest, I almost tried it, I liked a lot that contest, but I didn't have the materials I needed for my idea, and I saw the contest late, so I didn't have time to arrange everything. I was planning on taking my time with this contest, waiting for a contest I could actually participate in. It's just so unfair. I guess I too will have to deal with another (retired) avatar that I didn't manage to get. This was the one contest I liked the most too. :( I haven't been able to win anything from any contest but I thought I eventually would have gotten a chance at this one. I've tried to enter the random contest before and have never gotten in, and since I have 0 computer skills (the only drawing I do is on paper), I don't think I'll have a shot at this last contest. So much of their website is about gaming abilities or buying/selling I liked the idea that the Random contest appealed to us Right Brainers. I know that there are still the writing contests, but it's not the same. Writing is more work than fun, but making a Neopet out of yarn screams creativity. I will definitely be writing neopets directly and letting them know that a lot of people are very disappointed about this decision. If Jumpstart bought neo to improve it, this is not the way to go. Like others said, even when I didn't enter, I liked looking at other people's entries. I would have like to see the entering process improved, it was too complicated. I missed out on so many just because I couldn't get a photo to fit their parameters. Neopets is really beginning to su...go down hill. I somehow managed a third place trophy and the avatar with my pitiful submission a while back and wasn't planning on entering again, but it's still sad to see it go. Maybe TNT was tired of coming up with ideas or not enough people were participating. Maybe they should have had a random contest for random contest ideas rather than caption contest ideas.
