I don't know what is the maximum. My Lupe is at 271 and I find that's still relatively low even though already at Ultimate Genius. I see your pet is close to 500. The pet who won the Book Award is at 5405, however the pet who won the Booktastic Books award is at 9436, so it's obviously very high!

I don't agree that Neopets is dying. It's not as popular as it once was and it would be nice if TNT figured out better security and customer support, but people are joining all the time and a lot of people who used to be on are coming back. All considered, I still think it's a great site. Anyway, as for guilds, I was last on one in 2009. I posted a couple of times and realized the guild style in general is not my thing. I didn't know guilds are not as active nowadays because I was never that involved in the one I joined. I think it is the case overall, though I will view lookups advertising guilds that are still active, so some are kept up.

Unfortunately, I didn't copy all of the dialogue, but if you visit Faerieland, you will see dialogue from Queen Fyora, calling for assistance from her faeries. She would like to have an actual Faerie Festival, this year! According to the Neo calendar, this years Faerie Festival is supposed to be on the 20th, of this month (September). This is exciting! If anyone happens to see the dialogue, please add it to this topic. In my time on Neopets, I've never "attended" the Faerie Festival. Like other days, it is usually just a theme day, with no actual events. I wonder what events will be planned? Can't wait to find out!

i buy the items required by the Snow Faerie or the Esophagor but i get distracted and forget to turn them in on time ... and i lose the quest ... this happens more often than i like to admit  
does this happen to you too ?

I figure its disappearance is a temporary thing after yesterday's update. I'll not tell you how long I just spent refreshing and so on, thinking I could make it magically re-appear.

I found it!  Programmers, just insert this .JPG into the code someplace. That will work, right? 

Sooo the skinny is this: the LIKE system has been changed to a "reactions" system with this new update. You can like something, thank someone, "haha" someone, or be "sad" at their post. Of course we can customize these or add our own.
These are all activated for everyone, nothing has changed except for one big issue: the current forum theme does not have any classes to display these new changes. Therefore it doesn't show up.
If you cannot live without this feature while we get this sorted (the theme makers will have to update accordingly), the only thing you can do is change your forum theme to the default one.
To do that:
scroll to the very bottom of the forum. There will be a button called "THEME" Click it Select "Default"  If you do not like it and want to revert, follow stops 1-3 and select Shift The LIKE button is now a HEART that you can either click to like the post or hover over for more reaction options.
As for a back to top button, I am uncertain if that was also specific to our old theme and is no longer a function on this version of the forum software.

@babayaga67 Sorry I haven't been on consistently. I had let ppl on The Kindness Project know how I am and just made it over to see what I could catch up on here at TDN. 
Day 3 of Harvey & I am blessed that I live in that tiniest green patch that you saw on the Doppler Radar of Harvey coming in at Rockport/Corpus Christi  which is 150 miles away from us-and I am fine and not having flood water in my street, yard, or house BUT if I were to travel 15 minutes in any direction from my house- I would be in flood waters. I had a lot of friends who had their homes flooded and at least 2 friends who had to be boat rescued, so it is bad...but I am good.  
You better check on your Mom in Cypress, because my friends there have shot videos where they had flooding and Conroe is 10 minutes up the road (I-45) from me and the Sawdust Rd Exit (which is between my town, Spring, and Conroe) is under water tonight. I so hope that they are okay! Please everyone keep praying for all of us in Houston bc it is supposed to keep raining until Thursday.

Is anyone here from Texas dealing with Hurricane Harvey? I know that midnight_spell360 is from near Houston, which is flooding now. I searched and didn't see any posts about this yet. I hope you can stay safe and dry and that everything will be OK for you.

Ah, but that's not true! You DON'T need to keep her as your shopkeeper to retain the avatar.
You can choose a new shopkeeper.
All you need to do is not visit your store front once you've got that avatar. That way you won't lose it.
I still have the avatar and I have a different shopkeeper. I'll change my avatar to her and copy from my look up so people don't have to get annoyed with the captcha...

I don't like her  So once I had the avatar I changed to a different shopkeeper
I just don't view my store front. It's a non-issue for me because I rarely use my shop, but even if I used it a lot there's no decoration so really I'd have no need to look at the store front anyway.
I've got a plushie draik in charge right now, they're cute. :3

I am in the hospital now, and my baby boy has officially been born! I just wanted to share that I am happy, everything went smoothly, and I will not likely be online much over the next week as my family and I try to adjust.
In case anyone is curious, he was delivered at 9:00 AM, was 7lbs 12oz, and 20 in. His name is Zachary. 
He is asleep right now, visiting hours are over, and I'm going to take a nap! Goodnight!

That having been said...why did it have to be not only species specific but gender specific as well? I feel like males pets already get the short end of the stick so far as wearables in Neopia and this just reinforces it.
Ah well...again...they do get an 'A' for effort. Perhaps it is a sign of more effort to come?

Today, I scored a Disco Chomby keyquest plush in really good shape WITH INTACT TAGS/PROBABLY UNUSED CODE (because of the way the tags are set up). For 50 cents. I don't even particularly like Chombies but I couldn't pass it up, it's too cute. 
Way back when McDonald's had their Neopets promotion, I used to have a few of the plush and the cards that came with them. I don't even remember when/how I got rid of them.  So this Chomby is the only IRL piece of Neopets merch that I have. 
I did see a CD book with a Cloud Gelert theme at a different thrift store a couple years back, but I passed on it. Probably should have picked it up!
Did you have any of the IRL Neopets plush or merch? Which one's your favorite? Any pets/petpets/other that you WISH got official merch?
What about unofficial merch? I have to admit that I'm definitely going to make a few Neopets amigurumi for myself when I get around to it.

So I have about 50 or so nc items in my gallery that I want to remove so I can change the theme of my gallery, but that isn't working. I keep getting an "RPC error"
 
It's really frustrating and wonder if anyone knows anything, or if the nc mall items are just broken or what.
Any help will be gladly appreciated.

The Shop of offers is carry over from before there were ads on every page of Neopets and before money was being made from Premium and the NC Mall. As stated, there are also games that were essentially interactive commercials. Basically, the shop of offers is just a page where people can see the paid advertisers for Neopets and sign up for offers from those advertisers. The slorg is a way to draw people to the page because regardless of whether a person checks out the offers, they can get the np. Now with all the other means of making money for the site, the page is pretty much irrelevant, however it is obviously accessible, so people still get the np from the slorg. It used to be you actually had to click on the slorg (it would be moving around the page) to get the np and now it is automatically credited.
