I considered that it may be an add-on so I disabled AdBlock but same issue... might try another later. I have Norton browser protection on as well and a couple others... As for Firefox, I'll have to download it and install it but I'm not chuffed about that. *sigh*
 
I agree... a most [insert appropriate word here] move. I don't think anyone was expecting that especially when, due to how they structured the points prize structure, you almost would have had points left over that you just couldn't use. No one expected that *points discount* but thought all your points would have moved over. Worse this striated discounting is even more yuck. They really know how to annoy gamers.

Update:  So now the machine doesn't load in Explorer but I can load items to it in in Explorer. I then go back to Chrome to pull the lever and discard. I'm tired.

Yeah I can't comprehend the thinking behind this move either. So what if some people had a massive amount of points to roll over? It's not like there's shed-loads of rare items or NP to be gained by that or anything.
 

Agreed 100%. It's almost offensive to be honest. It takes so much time and effort to slog through adding items.
 I don't know what the creative team is thinking... but apparently it isn't much. 

It wouldn't have been so bad if we'd known about this all along, people would have been mad, but they'd have got over it. But to let us know points would be rolled over, WEEKS ago, with no apparent caveat, and then to drop this on everyone...

It makes it seem like they ran some last minute check on how many points people would have left over, and panicked, because if this was the intent all along, why keep quiet about it? 
I applaud them for working hard to resolve the mess with this new donation method, but this with the points is just a dirty trick and there's just no other way of looking at it. ?

The rest of that's too much text for my brain to be able to compute right now.

The website is loading so slowly because of Charity Corner that I don't even feel motivated to do my dailies. I bought stocks, spun Trudy's, and collected my bank interest, then I hopped off. This event is begging for an overhaul. Neopets has been around for two decades now, they should have properly run events. I probably sound bitter, but come on. Having every web page on the site slowed to a halt is not the best way to do this.

No-one's asking the REALLY important question...

Highly recommend you read SungMinty's page, as it compliments MapleHood's.
The "cost", for your first few batches of plushies, are to keep you on track. Yes, stick with Green Cloth, NeoCotton, Rare Gem, and Paper Bag. And make sure it is 3900 or less, before buying. Why? If I recall correctly, green cloth is the cheapest. HOWEVER, if red cloth, for example, is on special, and your cost is 3900 or less, then buy red cloth. NeoCotton, Rare Gem, and Paper Bag all add value to your plushies, when they are sold in your store. If you use Neofoams or the Neopian Times, sure, they will be cheaper to make, but, also, will not sell as much as if you use NeoCotton, so stick with it, for the first couple of jobs. If, at any time, any of the higher priced items are on special (gems, velvet bags) and you are under the 3900 or less purchase limit, then buy those.
If you stick with MapleHood's recommendations, you "should" get the avatar at the end. Once you start a few batches, and have seen a few cycles, you will get the hang of it.
The reason for the 3900 cost for your first job? Take a look at SungMinty's page under "Cost Accounting for the First Build ", and you may notice that after all of your first rents, recommended upgrades, labor costs, shipping costs, etc, that you will have approx. 3992 "cash on hand", from your initial 50, 000.
Yes, you can mix & match jobs. The idea is to find which type of plushie (Chia, Kacheeck, etc) sells for the best price. That price can change though, so while Chias might sell for a good price the first two cycles, the price could go down, the next, so making different types of plushies is a good idea.

I've realised, having looked through the list of items within these numbers that with a lot of them there's no way of knowing - in your SDB - if an item is in this range, it's in the (special) category and doesn't show the number.
My brain's never seemed to really register that not everything with that (special) tag is an r101, despite my also being fully aware that many of the omelettes are r102 upwards
So I now realise that I have a previously untapped CC plunder source in my SDB!! ?
(I'm trying valiantly to ignore the fact that I've donated my entire omelette stock in the past because of my brain's stubborn insistence that they were all r101... ?)
I'm now trying to figure out which is what, and it's making my head hurt, lol!
But these things I KNOW I have multiples of, and will be making good use of this time around, now!
