How was everyone's first day?  I'm happy with how I did.  I got YYB maxed and an addiction to How To Get Away With Murder.  I'm seven episodes into the first season.  My GPG is a little low, but I played a good number of side games.  I am going to play two more games of Slushie Slinger before bed so that I can reach rank 3.

Maybe if it was 500,000 or 5,000,000 for 500NC but I feel like this would only influence illegal means of obtaining neopoints. A lot of games do have in-game currency conversions but Neopets has far too many cheaters for it to work without completely destroying the game imo.
I think a more useful way would be to have a wheel (or some sort of neopoint sink game) where you could spend a high amount of NPs and win neocash in various denominations or a NC prize like a specific item, special capule or goodie bag with predetermined prizes.
Also I think it would be nice to have a reverse version of Delina where you could buy the items with NPs, from a specialty shop, and create NC items instead.

These are great.  I love the smiles.  They did just enough.  Sometimes they can go a little overboard with the mouths on Elderly pets.  The female outfit is better, but the male one comes with nice basics.  I think you'd get a lot of use out of the pants and shoes.

This is great.  I don't love how they did the tuft of hair, but the concept is so good that it doesn't matter to me.

But yeah, I have to agree... I actually wouldn't mind Clay if they had released a second colour to go with it - preferably something more interesting like Marble or Candy, as ladycanary mentioned. But as a single release, it's absolutely boring.

When I first saw the items on DTI I was like YESSS GIMME THAT JULIE NEWMAR REALNESS, but after I saw them on the Krawk I was a bit disappointed. First of all, I'm not a big fan of the species so I kind of wish they would have done this outfit for a different one, but that's neither here nor there. The biggest issue is THAT EYE MASK, which doesn't look like it was designed for the Krawk at all. I feel like whoever came up with the outfit idea sort of forgot that Krawks only show one eye, and only realised this when they were about to draw it. They were probably like "well, now I have to make it work somehow". And it didn't  I'm not too happy with the wig either, I don't like how the Krawk's spikes aren't hidden and the shading is slightly confusing (and it's a bit too blonde, but now I'm just nitpicking). With all that said, I still appreciate them doing an oldschool Catwoman outfit, it was a nice surprise even if it isn't perfect.

As someone that loves dating sims, I would be all about this.

I like both of them.  The Maractite is really great.  I like that there is a lot of dimension to it.  The bark pattern isn't my favorite, but I still think this is a great pet day.

I wonder if I can find the words to express what I'm feeling here...one of the issues with my MS is extreme difficulty expressing my thoughts, but I'll try!
Never considered that the floral one is a pinata look, still kinda weird-looking, but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt, lol.
Neither of the candy or marble ones look bad, I'm just so disappointed that they're bringing out new brushes that are so dull, I envision every pet that gets painted in these looking exactly the same, and that's very very sad.
Marble as a theme is pretty limiting, so I don't expect any nice surprises there. But CANDY as a theme...that could encompass absolutely ANYTHING. At least if it was being drawn by an artist who could dream up things like this it could...

Basically what I'm afraid of is more pets where regardless of the species, the look for that brush is exactly the same. It's way past time that they had some out-of-the-box thinking for paintbrushes again and gave us some properly different pets within themes again, and they SO could do that with candy, but this elephante isn't filling me with hope in that regard. The first outing of this brush and you just give it peppermint stripes? REALLY?!

I am so glad that I ended up having time to participate this year.  I thought I was going to be cutting it close.

This year I'm going to say from the beginning that I spend a lot on gifts, but I never buy anything interesting or exciting for myself.  This is the only time I ever buy anything fun, so I go overboard.  I do not at all expect anyone to spend as much on me as I do on them.  I never even have any idea what anyone spends on me.

I know that I missed a few people.  I'm still getting used to getting a lot of neomails for stuff related to the guild I'm in, and I got flustered and refreshed the wrong page.

It has been a few years since I posted.  Now, I have all the petpages bookmarked, so I can just go down the line checking.  I like being able to scoop one of them up if they end up in the pound, so I can start zapping them again.  I have contacted people to compliment their petpages or customizations.
 
I have also had someone message me about a pet I adopted.  They were a member of TDN, actually.  They were just happy to see that the pet had a new home, and I was able to tell them that I was just holding on to the pet for a few days until it went to a new owner and what the new owner's plans were.

The elderly pets are pretty cute.  I think the female could have used a cardigan or something.  I think they had a look in mind, but most of the elderly pets come with more clothing items.  Even some jewelry or a purse would have been nice.  I do think that the hair and the toemails are really cute and would probably be worth it if I wanted one.
 
The outfit is horrible.  They could have at least done separates instead of having all the clothes be one piece. The jacket and pants don't even match.

Exactly Jelly! :laughingsmiley:  Plus, whatever food items you pick up during dailies are never enough to feed all 4 pets and I still have to go hunt down extra items, hope everybody likes what they get and go through the tedium of clicking, loading, clicking and waiting....  :mellow:  :tired:  :sleeping_03anim:

I was considering doing something like this with my Alien Aisha, but gave up on the idea when I didn't have another customization in mind for the black flowers.

Instead of making one bet, I would spread whatever np you have to bet with across the ten bets that are recommended by Garet or Anisa.  You will still have days that you don't win anything, but the tricky part of Food Club is choosing a set of bets that comes closest to guaranteeing a profit.  It's more reliable than an all-or-nothing approach with only betting one or two times.
 
For battling, I would pick up two Scroll of Ultranova, if you haven't already.  Each one should cost you only 1 np.  My battle pet still just uses two of those when doing my daily battles.

I made it to All Star today.  I was hoping for it to happen yesterday, but I haven't had as much time so far this week to play.
 
I haven't had my goalie score this year yet.  I actually haven't been getting very many of the enlarging power-ups this year.  I'm hoping that I get more, because that is my favorite one.  Even if I don't score, it's fun.

My favorite glitch has been the one where a player (usually Lamelle for me) gets the ball and starts running straight toward the opposing team's goal and refuses to stop, turn, or throw the ball no matter what buttons I'm pressing.

JS explained that they messed up and were including cheating accounts when they were calculating our scores, so we had a bunch of people with no scores that counted factored in.  With Brightvale, TNT still has problems telling the difference between legit players and cheaters, and they have an All Star Group.  ASGs recruit players that were all stars in previous years to play with them to get their team to win.
 
My gpg is down to 11.8.  I had a tough time with a few of the teams that we played this round, so I'm surprised it didn't go lower than that.  Some teams' AI are really good at foiling my Darigan YY strategy.  I have played enough SoSD this year to get kind of good at it.  I'm still hopeless at MSN, though.
