Works for me!  Still working on getting a Varia is the Bomb, so was wondering what to use after that if I manage to not one hit take something out 😈  (Hm.  Someone needs to make a grinning emoji with fangs.  That was the closest I could get.)

I was browsing and saw a mini article about the "anagram swords" from the hidden tower.  Are any of those decent (since they're technically buyable) for 1P battledome (have zero interest in PVP, though at one point I said that about regular bd, so who knows) or since they're one element would you really need all of them to be able to really do anything much with them?  And of course there's no telling what'd be good or not for the plot since since we don't know what we'll be fighting, right?

I don't know if there's a scoring system beyond wins, but I did happen across someone's profile who I believe is an officer in that large guild that goes after the obelisk in the skirmishes. They seem to have a bounty list, rewards for those who do an exceptional job and can prove it for doing literally hundreds of battles each skirmish. It's no wonder whichever faction they choose tends to win, with a reward system like that. That being said, I always knew this would eventually happen from the day we found out the skirmishes were going to be an on-going thing. And I loathed that thought, it's simply annoying that I ended up being right because one guild basically controls the skirmishes now. Instead of it truly being up to the luck of the draw. That guild decides who to go for, and the rest of us can only guess and hope for a coinciding selection. Rather kills a fair amount of the fun of it, imho anyway.

Ah, Hanso Charisma Charms are not worth hardly anything anymore, they were a plot prize originally.  They block all darkness and have a 10-icon attack. So they are a small step down from The Mystical Tablet. You don't need them.
Sure! During battle, open and check in the combat log, it'll be on the left side, under your pet, it will say the damage you take, and that includes the icon types.
Though you for the 1p opponents you can also know what they use by checking out the 1-player profiles of Secret Battledome Challengers. TDN has these here. Under the heading Active Challengers.

Click the challenger you wish you fight and you will see their stats and equipment. Click on their equipment and you will be taken to that item's item database entry with it's stats, what types of icons and how many of each icon it does. As well as special effects that might be known. If you know what icon types might be prevalent in your opponent's arsenal, then you can plan the proper defensive gear for it if you need it.
Whenever the new plot's battle phase starts, that's something we at TDN will be figuring out. What the new opponent(s)' weapons are and if there are any new ones, what they do. Then we will create a new entry for them in their own plot section. So when the battles start, please stay tuned as we will be working to figure out the info and get it up asap.

I just (finally!) hit 100 mil in the bank, so I do have some extra to spend if need be.  I'd just rather not let it drop below that again, haha.  It was my big goal for SO long after all.  
So go for Varia first, a ghostkerbomb after if I need a second high-power attack for the plot?

I finally got the soup!  Hooray!  Still not sure if I want to keep the tablet (guess it can be good in case of emergency?) and the sword is still just there because it's no trade and so I have nothing else to do with it.  So if I'm remembering correctly, you suggested the next thing I should go for is the ghostkerbomb?  Or should I try to fill either of those two other slots?  Tbh, if I'd gotten a second pea, I probably wouldn't use anything else, hahaha.  Oh well, I got one, and that was better than I could have imagined.

Hi, guys!! I found out that I’m getting my apartment soon. I’ve been on this forum since I was 16 or 17 so that’s pretty amazing. It’s a one bedroom and I’m putting my (real life) Neopets plushies on my bed. 
 
It feels like I’m making something out of myself.
By the way, I got a FFQ the other day and have my dream Aisha. 

@granny63020, your set looks fine for now. The only defense item I could suggest would be a Thyoras Tear. It blocks 100% of damage for 1 turn Once Per Battle. But it's super expensive right now like every other good piece of equipment with the impending battle plot. You could possible go with the one use version, the Thick Smoke Bombs which can be bought from player shops or from the Secret Ninja Training School. They do the same thing, but once they are used, they are gone for good. I think your set is fine for right now, so don't worry too much about it. When the battle plot comes out, I'm sure we'll be testing the opponents for their arsenals and abilities. 😉 I'm sure that neither of us will likely need to change your gear for most of it. Even for the final boss, we might be ok, if it's like the Wraith event where we got Sword of Malum and Blazing Embers from.
I'M hoping it will be a little more epic than that though, more on the level of the Obelisk War would be my preference. 😉

Oh you are so right! I did misunderstand what you were telling me. Is there any one item that would stand above others for defense that I could replace one or both of my swords for? Something I can have on hand,  just in case. I use the Sword of Malum most every time so I would keep it but I could possibly replace the other 2 swords for defense items. You've been right so far so I will absolutely pay attention. Would replacing both of the 2 swords with 2 defensive items help me. I know you said we don't know what defensive items we will need but there must be a couple of general, all around, items that I could buy and get them replaced. I only have the 3 swords because I never knew what to have until talking to you.  There were more swords! LOL So let me know your thoughts please and I will work of getting them into my line up.  Thanks!

Hey @granny63020, sorry I didn't see this sooner. I just wanted to clarify, thatI didn't mean your defense-stat when I said "Not a lot of Defense", I meant defensive items. Your defensive stat, like your Strength stat is already above the maximum of 750. But since, like I also said, you can beat your opponents easily so far, you probably don't need other defensive gear until you have an opponent you can't beat in a couple of turns. Which MIGHT be the battle-plot TNT says is coming. Your set is good for now though. IF there's an opponent you need more defensive items for in the battle plot, you can worry about it then, since we have no way of knowing what defensive items will be effective before then.

Also, I only train with cookies so that's part of the reason my stats are what they are. Good to know I am good to go other than that. I'll need to check out the Sleep Ray and see how it works on JN. Glad I got one. Most opponents I beat in one turn. I'm worrying about what's coming. Want to be ready! Glad I got one. I appreciate not only or opinions put the effort you put in to help everyone. Thanks so much!

Aquamentis12  I got the Sleep Ray from a friend that got it as a weekly Quest prize today. Will you take another look at my stuff and tell me what you think?

I did! Mintyfish is at level 503, with strength and defense just above 750.  I did move HP up to 1008 but I don't think I'm going to push it to 1500.
There's no increase in multiplier after 750 for strength or defense so one could safely stop at level 375, but because I had put HP at 840 on my own, I had to bring level up to at least 420 in order to do anything with strength/defense.  Once I did that, I made a goal of getting to level 500 to be able to get the last level of faerie abilities.  I'm collecting my bottled faeries for it now.
I should mention that by the end, I'd invested into Faerie Quest Fortune Cookies, so I spent the last few months doing a faerie quest every day (sometimes twice - thanks faerie festival!) and upgraded randomly for much of the way and trained to even things out.  To be honest, the FQFC path was more fun than the full-time training grind, but you might have to spend real life money for it.  There have been in-game gifts of NC lately and I happily spent it all on fortune cookies.

Thanks for adding your confirmation to the conversation @discobiscuit! So did you finally max out your Strength and Defense, so you could focus on HP? All that training of nothing but level, man I can imagine how frustrating that must've been!

@discobiscuit  That was exactly what I was concerned about.  Thank you!  I know it was annoying when I got a couple faerie quests that put me from 4 codestones to 5 because my strength was too high, so I can't imagine doing it with the reds.  I'd likely cry.  Of course I'm also a girly little thing, so it's a bit understandable.
