I linked this in the art and animations topic I started on TDN's art board, but since nobody is posting over there, I'll x-post a test of a part of my latest project here. LOL Work in progress of course. A scrolling background. 125 frames, but with 5 key frames and 3 primary frames. This is about 10% the original's size. (It'd be a MUCH larger display and filesize otherwise. LOL) Still a fair bit of work to do, adding varied shades to the grasses. The tree's segment is finished though. But not until after I made this test animation. ;)

Yeah I have some covers on youtube under the username RaisedByWolfies. They aren't great though, I struggle with covers.

Yay! I'm 2 for 2 :D I think the Sway avatar is nicer, but I'm thrilled to add another avvie to my collection - congrats fellow Thieves!

I was the Sway but decided to do thieves for this round. Still wish sway was an option :(

Another point I want to add is to find the game you are compatible with. I am the type that play best in patience kind of games. It means that it take a really long time (sometimes an hour) to get a high score but not very challenging. These are warf rescue and eliv thade. The games that need less patience and more training is barf game and neopian bank game (Sorry, I forget the real names.) And that is pretty much all I have. The rest need too much luck or ability for me.
 
Also, for these games I tend to wait until the second week before trying, since I can practically get as high a score as I want. It is frustrutating to have a score high enough to get gold trouphy but had that score beaten at the end of the day. By second week, most people won't play for high score anymore and if you land at first place, it's almost a guarantee that you will get 750np everyday for the rest of the month.

For sure, you need to practice a lot. But the one thing that can really help you getting a trophy is landing on the highscore table on the first of the month. I got most of my trophy that way. It's a combination of luck and good timing.

This does make me feel better since I just joined the thieves. :D
 
Haha. I gave up training, my pets stats are around 145 though so not too bad. Been relying on FQ cookies. :)

I do really hope they open the prize shop and obelisk soon (c'mon, let the Red Erisim get the obelisk!) I'd also love an avatar. I've missed all the previous plot avatars and I really want an avatar that I can display with pride. :D

You didn't offend me. But I'm the complete opposite of you - I think it's fun being a villain in gaming because it's so completely different to my real life.
 
In real life, I wouldn't like the idea of some rich Illuminati-type criminal conspiracy any more than I'd like a guild of thieves, or any more than I'd like to be... a Pirate or a Ninja :p
 
But pretending to be one in a game... :D

The Sway seemed pretty scary to me. I mean, look at that Krawk on the wall. They obviously tortured him to get information, which seemed quite... mature, considering you can't even say 'cucumber', 'grape', 'skill' or 'basement' on the boards or in a private message. <_<
 
Though I am leaning towards the Order of the Red Erism because they are magic-y and such. I do like the Seekers because they're the only group that is really thinking logically about the obelisk. And the Thieves Guild... I kinda have a slight crush on Kanrik :*
 
I think the Awakened is just in this for the 'cake' (read: dead bodies).

Ahaha me too, I freaking hate it when I defeat a boss and I have to walk all the way back to the person, so I can give them the thingy to make the thingazoinkyjig, to get a whatsafiddle and a binkything so's I can do the quest with a herpderp boss to get a frinkamadink and defeat the OTHER boss so I can FINALLY get the flerpderpamerp to defeat that huge pinkaderp boss and beat the game. :)

Right now it's the silly Water Plant (one of the final steps in the Altador Plot). Already wasted several hours there. I keep flooding the city out of spite now. ;-)

I found something else frustrating. I get so annoyed when I land on the "Free Spin" space on the Wheel of Knowledge. It just means I'm going to spin it again to get the real prize, so it's annoying when I land there!

Due to the fact that a plot will be starting soon on Neopets, I am officially closing the Battle Pet chain until it is over. I have two reasons for doing so.
 
One, plots usually lock out normal challengers and only allow access to plot enemies, which would prevent you, the members, from using our Battle Pet for it's intended purpose- obtaining the general Battledome avatars.
 
Two, we at TDN wish to encourage members to do non-puzzle plot parts (such as battles and group mini games) with their own skills. These plot areas are usually worth the most points in the end, and we feel it is more fair to everyone if each member uses what they have worked for to play these parts, while still being able to come to us for advice and instruction. Continuing the Battle lends through the plot would defeat the purpose of this, and would be highly unfair as the chain does have a time limit and we have no guarantee that everyone who wants it would get it, nor that people who got it earlier would still be able to participate in later battles.
 
If you apply for the chain while it is still closed (I will announce when it re-opens) you will simply be put on the waiting list for after-plot lending.
 
We apologize for any inconvenience this causes, and wish you luck in the upcoming plot. :)
