Just had to get that off my neurotic chest . . .

I've been away since a few days after the AC started, but in that time I found a job (YAY!!) which I actually start next Monday, June 25th. I'll be on the crisis hotlines for one of the local organizations! I somehow managed to finish off three crocheted blankets and start two new projects. Next week is the half way mark for my online class; I'm so excited for this, the  end is so close. 

Thank you kindly Jelly  I tend to thrive under pressure and I'm definitely ready to be working again, two months without it has driven me crazy!

Congrats! What an exciting and chaotic time in life! I totally know how you feel. I am in my last week of statistics for science and I am about to enter intermediate statistics! Woohoo for the half way mark!  You'll do great!

Didn't there used to be a way to use the page source to find the time, like it was hidden within the code?

I finally found the energy to schedule all of my doctor's appointments today; PCP, psych, and gastro.. I see my PCP this week and the psych in a couple of weeks. The kicker is that I have to wait until the end of July to see the gastro doctor. I don't want to wait that long to see him, especially since I can't eat anything without getting sick.. but hopefully my PCP will help me figure something out until I my gastro appointment.. *sigh* curse medical problems.
 
UPDATE: I'm able to eat again without getting sick! I wonder if it was mostly due to anxiety. I saw the psychiatrist yesterday and was put on Lexapro and Abilify. Now just gotta push through the terrible side effects for the next two weeks until I go back.

I'm in my mid-ish thirties and I've had a steady job since I was basically 14. I've been in my current job for almost 5 years and last year, I cut my hours in half because I was exhausted (I was super lucky to be able to do that, I know). My job is in operations, which is what I've always done - not because I loved it but, because I've always been good at it and it afforded me steady employment. Also should mention my company is in the Real Estate field.
 
This year, at my review, my boss said it was one of my goals to get my RE salesperson license (which no one in my office has) and that she was going to pay for it! So now I'm back in school studying to get my license and it turns out, I'm pretty into it! Wish me luck as I start on this new journey (and if you're in NYC and want to buy an apartment, hit me up  :laughingsmiley:). 

Alan Rickman passed away early this morning at the age of 69, less than a month from 70, from Cancer. May he find peace and happiness in the Hereafter. He was everything from an Angel to a Spy, and in between he stole numerous hearts. Let us celebrate his life, and may we find comfort in each other.

Today was pretty busy between going to class and going out for birthday dinner with my mom. We also stopped and got a new phone and got medication (darn chest cold). But I'm super excited and nervous because I submitted my Resident Assistant application for next school year. *crosses fingers* I hope I get to be one. 

Good Luck! I think that would be a pretty tough job. It says a lot about you to apply for it - hopefully you get it :)

It's been so long since I've been on these forums, but I just had to share this cool piece of news with all you lovely strangers. I've got my last appointment at the end of December just to make sure, but it looks like I won't need to go anymore! I'm super excited about next year and feeling so much better.
You guys have always been so lovely and I'm gonna start posting again :D

A few weeks ago I turned a paper for my sociology class in 15 minutes late. I told my instructor that I knew it was a late submission and he told me that he would dock off points for it being late and that he would grade it after everyone else's. 
 
No big deal, it did drop my grade by A LOT but almost three weeks later he graded it. I only lost 5% of my grade on the paper, for it being late. 
 
 
I'm thankful that he took the time to grade my assignment and input the grade into the grade book. 
 
From this I've learned not to procrastinate on assignments and to have patience with others.
