Yes, that's how the Throw Pillow strategy works basically. It's the only way for bare minimum pets to beat challengers like Malum on Hard
 
Yes, it resets at midnight and you can use it again. But also yes again, Lens Flare is better in general battling. Throw Pillows is only good for these types of conditions where you can't beat the challenger no matter what items you have

I just need to vent for a minute and, since I have no friends in real life, I am going to do it here. There is no reason to read this, it just feels better to write everything down.
 
As I'm sure many of you know, I am a stay at home mom of three. Well, I used to be. The week before Christmas I got myself a part time job as a hostess because I need a break every now and then from the chaos. I love my job. I only work 11-3. It is the place where I worked right before I had my first kid, and they have asked me to come back on a few occasions. My husband wouldn't buy me a gym membership, so the only other thing that I could think of to get my mini vacations was a job.
Before I even was able to work one day I received a call from my youngest's doctor trying to schedule my son for a cranial ultrasound on my second day of work. I asked for a different day, and they told me that I would have to wait a month and a half for the next available day. Well, I wasn't going to push out my babies brain scan that long. I called my work to tell them that I was going to have to take my second day off, and had to talk to the new manager who I had never met. It was SO embarrassing. BTW, everything was fine, the doctor was trying to cover all bases just in case. All of my kids have really small heads which they get from me. I wear a child's M in hats, and toddler in glasses frames.
My second week of work my kids had two separate appointments that I had to go to before I had work, so I was running around like a mad man two out of three days that I had work.
Last week something happened with my husband and he was in bed crying/screaming for three days straight. I went to work because he didn't want to go to the doctor until he was able to walk on his own (stubborn ^&*$&^*$&%*#$&@). I am not sure if I have ever mentioned this, but my husband was bitten by a brown recluse last Aug. That's right, over 15 months ago. He STILL hadn't been to the doctor! He finally relented when he began to worry that his kidneys were failing. So he swore to me that we would go to the doctor on Wed to see what was going on and to have someone look at the bite on his foot. He doesn't have a primary doctor, so I tried to take him to the Urgent Care facility. He had his wallet stolen two weeks ago when he dropped it in the driveway. (We have a security system and watched playback of some random person grabbing it about fifteen minutes after my husband came inside on day) The Urgent Care won't see you without a picture ID. I tried to get him to go to the ER instead, but he knew that they were likely to check him in for a few days because of the damage to his foot so he tried to strike a new deal with me. (stubborn &%&^$^#%$) Thur was his birthday, and he didn't want to spend it in the hospital, so could we please wait until Fri? I relented.
Then, because the universe is trying really hard to mess everything up for me, all three of my kids caught some bug. I called their doctor three times on Fri, leaving messages because no one answered before I remembered that they were closed on Fri. My husband had gone to work (real smart guy), and didn't return until after 6 pm. My kids are all asleep right now, but as soon as they wake up I am going to get them dressed and take them in to see someone [They have fevers and BAD coughing fits. They are having trouble eating because it hurts to swallow. My middle one can't afford to loose more weight as she is already in the 14th percentile (out of 100 girls her age she is only bigger than 14)]. After that I get to take my husband in to the ER and have him checked in.
I have also caught whatever my kids are passing around, so I might have to call off of work this week.
I am still doing everything at my house too. Three meals a day (I pack lunches in the refrigerator for them on days I work), all of the cleaning in the kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, living areas, laundry, dishes, bathing the kids, feeding the dog and cat, cleaning up the yard three times a week (dog), dusting everything twice a week, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping the whole house AND take care of three sick kids and a sick husband. All on 3-5 hours of sleep a day, for the past 6 months. Yeah, so easy being a stay at home mom.
I'll be darned if I give up my job though! I NEED my three/four breaks a week.
I am also what is called a CB, or Cheap B (I hope you can figure out what the B stands for since I don't want to write it out). Feeding five people is expensive, so I coupon and hunt for deals like you would not believe. I don't pay full price for anything except, occasionally, milk or meat. I capitalize on one day sales a lot, and there was one today for 8 oz cheese for .99 that I had to go and get. I had a few other coupons that I was able to add on that, so I bought 5 lbs of cheese for 6 bucks this morning. Silver lining!

My kids are stirring, so it's time to get them started!

Yep!  Any pet can fight   There are some good guides out there for beginner battledome sets as well!  The challengers I fought with were donny, the kreludan defender robot, the koi warrior, and finally the giant spectral mutant walien, in that order!  They all give more codestones, with the water arena giving out the most.  Good luck!

Oh man I'm excited, though my wallet isn't. :'D  I feel like netdragon might be putting a little more effort into making actual money with neopets because they're releasing so much stuff I actually want now.  Has anyone else noticed that??
I'd just like to get some decent stuff for trading maybe, though I'd love to get something I'd actually use!  I need to look through the old dyeworks stuff some more

Auggghhhh, one green check was my downfall, and it was because I was around someone I was too embarrassed to play neo in front of.  I must overcome that.  It's not shameful!

I'm happy with the stamp! Glad I was able to stay on top of the challenges this year. Also, I'm kind of glad that Team Dead lost because the tombstone trophy looks really nice in silver. XD

If you put your pets in the Neolodge, TNT will send you an email from the pets saying they're checking out. If you remember the email you signed up with you could have a chance? Maybe

At first I was re-downloading Flash each time, but then I found (by accident, lol) that just re-opening customisation worked the majority of the time.
Though that's not working at the moment. xD Trying it out has made it crash, so now I'm having to restart the non-Neo game I was playing in a different tab.

Same goes for me, I support Magax but the introduction details was too cheesy,thus I went with Hubrid Nox.I only hope Sutek's Tomb won't be among the challenges, I don't like it that much

I was conflicted until I read that description for the Living Team. Magax is cool, but it was way too sunshine and rainbows for me! Haha, Hubrid Nox it is for me!

It's also important to note that out of the five Maraquan pets on your first post, three got their own morphing potions, and they are way cheapter than the PB:

So if you want a Maraquan Grarrl/Buzz/Usul, you should take this into account

Interesting! I just went back to the "chest", via the "Achievements" page, and I was able to play the "Lock Picking" game, again. This time, I did it without any "misses" and I was awarded the "Amateur Lock Picker" achievement and was able to get the prize - "Lock Picking Kit".   Last night, when I played, I did have 4 "misses" and did not get the achievement. Either TNT is being kind, by letting us play the game as many times as we want, or because there have been a few "glitches" with this plot, so far.
As for the Ectoplasm, I believe @munnawindz and @WhiteWolf are on the right track. They mentioned they think the Ectoplasm can be found from the clue on Taelia's note - "When one thing ceases to exist, another takes its place." Both were mentioning a place or location to get it. Many on the Neoboards mentioned the "Giant Omelette" and the "Giant Jelly". When you got to both locations and grab a piece, you will get a message and the background will change to a purple haze. I don't believe it is a reference to Jimi Hendrix's song, "Purple Haze", either, but that would be cool! When I click on either "Ok" or "Got To HQ", and check on Taelia's page, or my inventory, nothing. However I do wonder where the third location would be. I tried "Anchor Management", but no haze or message. And, I believe that part maybe "glictchy", too. The haze doesn't stay and flashes off and on and the message doesn't always pop-up (hence why I didn't type it). So, either it is not working, or it is not for the Ectoplasm and is just part of the plot story - "Hey! A Snapjaw Wraith was here!" And, "Go fight it in the Battledome!" or whatever.
EDIT: Does anyone else think the "Lock Picking" game music is neat, like I do?

So I got the next task but I can't figure it out, theres no link to click or anything?
Oh i click the box and it takes me to a page with music then takes me back to the plot page I can't see whats happening.

Time to work together and take down the Wraiths as the first official plot step is released!

I believe it was from bots looking for accounts with UC Neopets and a lot of these accounts were hacked. The Captchas were put into place to prevent bots from acquiring information.
It certainly is possible. The best thing you can do to protect yourself from cookie grabbers is to simply log out when you are done on the site. This resets your cookies, so the ones that were grabbed become useless. Additionally if you have Firefox you can get an add-on called NoScript.

Good news is that there hasn't been a working cookie grabber in years so you don't need to worry about that.
