Actually now that you mention it, FC has been acting weird recently. The friends in my guild I have not been able to collect their winnings yesterday despite their betting history saying that they had won. Yet, I won two of yesterday’s bets that garret had placed
we all follow garret’s bets btw in my guild.
So maybe FC is glitchy atm, who knows?

So something weird has happened - Jubjub has turned up back in with my pets, though I never received a pound notification or hadto accept him or anything. @MedEx did you receive him?

I keep a respectful distance from bees and ants and things if I know they sting. I'll make friends with non-stinging bugs. Spiders? Can't deal. 
Funny story - everyone always says the big fuzzy bees don't sting, they're peaceful. When I was 13, my first bee sting ever was from one of those big fuzzy ones! I was trying to clear a path through the woods behind my house. Turns out they aren't so peaceful when a giant is unwittingly swinging a scythe at their home. Can't say I blame them, lol!

I opened my living room window and two bees promptly same flying in, almost like they'd been queuing outside, lol. I'm all "morning guys, don't get lost and die in here, sorry I've got nothing for you to pollinate" and quickly removed my sticky trap that's hanging by the window because if a bee got stuck on that I'd hate myself forever.
One of them either went back out the window or is patrolling the rest of my flat right now, but the other spent some time inspecting the living room, hovering just under my arm for a moment which felt lovely - tiny little breeze from its wings. ? Then it finally stopped for long enough for me to get a decent look at it, and I see it's a wasp...

So I suppose that means I've another wasp lurking somewhere unless it's found one of the other open windows. This one definitely seems to be deciding to move in, lol.
 
How are you with stuff that might jab ya with a stinger? ?
 
I want to say I've never been afraid of bees, but I probably was as a kid because you learn to be from the reactions of the people around you, don't you. But as an adult I've generated much utter disbelief, and accusations of insanity, from the people around me as I calmly let a bee walk about on my arm or something. ? NOT impressed when the insect I was being nice and friendly to turns out to be a wasp though. >_<
Just now it was buzzing against every part of the window but the bit that's open, so I opened ALL of it as wide as possible, and it's cleared off into another room now. xD Meanwhile, my wide-open windows are like an open invite for more to come in, aren't they, lol.
Does me talking about having the windows wide open horrify those of you who spend your summers with every aperture clamped shut so the air-con can work properly? And/or because your insects are hoards of ravening beasts and you'd get eaten alive if they got inside... Having listened to people from the US talk about the insects/arachnids they get I realise the UK has basically no insect problem AT ALL. ?

Yay! That's awesome. And I do hope you'll enjoy your family visits and the traveling! Sounds like fun anyway.

Oh wow! @smoss1 You still have the faerie kougra tag! That's so cool ? I have one as well, but I got mine when I was around 6 or 7 years old so I rarely kept the tags on any of mine ? And aww there's the kadoatie! ?

Hmmm that really depends. A lot of people create a gallery, which are showcases of things you have bought... some people try to make as much money as possible to obtain items/dream pets.... Some people train pets for battle.... some collect avatars, the list goes on but those are the big ones I can think of.   
@CannotLeave what do you enjoy doing?   I like bouncing around and am goal oriented so I spend time collecting avatars, which all have different requirements and are like a little victory each time.    If you have any questions about getting started on any of these, let me know!

@Kute I am away from home for the summer so I don't have all my other plushies with me at the moment, but I probably have over 50 of them ? including little ones from Mc Donald's like @TokaValencia's. My absolute favorites are my baby kougra and my large standing disco aisha, which isn't on that list.
And yes, like @smoss1 mentioned, they are only available online. I bought mine from ebay in mint condition. You can take a look on there if you'd like; amazon sells the more recent ones too. I have a blue kadoatie at home too, soooo cute! Another one of my favorites.

Howdy! I've recently re-started doing the Food Club to make some NP. When I check my betting history, it shows that the past few days, I've won NP on my bets. But when I go to collect my winnings, it says that I don't have any.

Am I missing something? I haven't done Food Club in a long time so maybe something has changed, but it used to be you could collect your winnings every day. Maybe it's broken? Any help is super appreciated!

they were limited edition and can only be found second hand online nowadays 
ive got a blue Aisha keychain and faerie kougra at home. About to get a pink poodle and blue kadoatie in the mail as well!? I am so excited!!!

Hey Ya'll! First post on TDN. Thought I'd share that MY HALLOWEEN AISHA PLUSHIE JUST ARRIVED IN THE MAIL TODAY!! ?
I was an avid plushie collector back in the early 2000's when neopets started selling them at Limited Too, but this one was special edition only given out during a special event!
I'm so psyched right now, I love it!

yes i connect thru FB (it connects quickly) and i can play 
i just reached my 50k limit  

LOL, hope our battle pets have no need for TEETH, 'cause they won't have any after biting into this cake. ?
As a complete aside . . . that black and white striped dress in the mall makes my Draik look like she's nine months pregnant. ?

I mostly just wanted to see if the community felt like it was worth taking the risk of lending with lower collateral so more people could participate, or if everyone preferred the extra insurance that comes with the higher collateral, all other factors being equal. 
Yeah the account age thing is mostly to keep out the people who have to create new accounts every other week because they keep getting frozen. Surprisingly, I still get a bunch of requests from obvious shell/cheating accounts, so at least an age limit gives me reason to reject otherwise impressive (and impossibly young) accounts. Age really doesn't mean a ton because it really is easy to wander away and forget about your account for a few years. But at least an older account does show that when you're on the site, you follow rules.
Other factors do definitely influence my decision to lend to someone. I take a look around their account and take into account their avvie count, site events they've participated in, and the overall effort they've put into their account, and we do keep ALP tracking sheets of people who have borrowed and any problems we've had. The poll is more to settle the collateral issue , as ultimately, all lends are still approved at my discretion based on the account.
And if I didn't make it clear in the first post, the Pea is now the property of the ALP account. We don't process third party lends.
