Man, that outfit certainly looks cluttered. But it does do a good job at what armor is made to do; protect and be bulky! Needless to say, not a big fan of this species-outfit.
That color though? Oh my gosh, now that is a haunting Bruce! The subtle gore of torn flesh on the face, the way the feet look half-stuffed, as if they had been deflated before. Those bug-eyes work wonderfully on their normally small, cute dots, and even the bow, despite being dilapidated, is a lovely shade of blue; really complements everything!

You know, today I was so scared that this would break my gold streak, same day run for the Daily Dare. Ultimate Bullseye is in no small part one of my least favorite games, since I feel the "physics" don't work right at all, and the fact the only advice pretty much anyone could give was "be lucky" really shows how little this game goes down to with skill.

But, thankfully, with a stroke of luck and not only getting a Hagan Balloon and landing an apple shot in the same go (Nice, tasty 50 points right there,) I got it after about an hour of play.

So far, this daily dare has severely tested me. Namely cause it seems a lot of these games come down to sheer, dumb luck. But so far I'm managing.

First day kicked me pretty hard. Took me an hour and a half, but it's namely cause I've always been bad with it, and it always seemed to play against my favor. Kept getting consecutively 500 points below, until I finally got the lucky play.

Today only took a few tries though, thankfully. Pretty easy, thankfully.

18 games to go and I'm hoping it's nothing that's too terribly out of range for my skills.

Well, since I'm always a bit of an over-achiever, did go for AAA for the chance at gold. Took me an hour to go about this, I've always been garbage at this game, but managed.

And frankly AAA's reward is... meh, at best. It's basically a weaker Ultranova Scroll. Does 2-5 Physical, 3 Fire, and 2 Earth, from the 10+ battles I've done to test it. So it's not horrid if you've just started to get a hang of Battledome, but if you're like me and have the Sun and Moon Chakram and the Ultranova Scroll, it's a definite downgrade.

But, I decided to try and give it a gander, what with the summer season and all! And I feel like I came up with a rather cute look, with what I've managed to obtain both now and over time. Pretty much everything sans the hair is new, as I love the hair too much to just toss aside (Plus, I do think it works for a summertime look regardless, even if the bow's a bit outta place,) but I did want to give a fresh look!

I thought I would share, cause I am quite proud of this look. Though if there's some stuff people possibly think could be changed for the better, I'm up to hear too! Like I said, not the best with customization! Sadly, I didn't get the drink from the new Mystery Capsule I wanted to give her, but maybe I'll get it in due time!

But, that was well over a year ago, and before I decided to try and delve back into TDN Forums, I stuck to see if I'll be hanging on Neopets for a while. And, given the fact I'm now week 3 into my return, I think it's safe to say that, even if I'm not gonna be 100% avid, I'm here for quite a bit.

But yes, hi all! I'm Edwynn, and this month will mark the 13th year anniversary of my account. I'm still shocked that I somehow managed to keep it alive for so long; it may not be my first ever Neopets account, but it is by far the one I've kept the longest, even considering the few times in the past I tried to remake accounts, thinking I lost the ability to access this one. Still remember the day I managed to get a ticket sent, explaining my situation with the lost email and what-not, and TNT actually helped me recover the account. Been a lovely time since, even if sporadic with my updates and returns.

I'm currently simply chilling around on Neopets. Making a good bit of NP after reading up more with guides (Managed to go from 200k to 3mil so far, I'm very happy!) and trying to plan out what more I wish to do with my account. Perhaps learn HTML some and actually make a proper look-up, or consider looking into more customization options, since my main applexsun's been rocking the same look for so long now, aha! And today is the day my main is, in fact, 13, as she's as anomaly of being older than my account, as she was my first Neopet in ways of adoption (I think at the time there was a bug where you could actually go without making a Neopet? I do remember for a time I had no Neopets what-so-ever, until I adopted applexsun. Good memories.)

Hello there! That certainly is a wild story, you rarely ever consider, let alone hear or even experience, the parents being the source of an issue like freezing. I'm really sorry to hear of the losses with the old account, but I'm glad you're finding some joy and nostalgia in this account again!

Your Cybunny is a darling! Something must be said about the simple customization styles, even if they rarely win stuff like Customization Contests. Truly holds more to the aesthetics of pets that get dolled up by their owners, aha!

I'd say the Viacom Era was more of a middle of the road deal over true Old School. Old School would be back when Adam and Donna ran the site, and I can't speak for it because I wasn't around during that time. From the Viacom Era, I would say I miss stuff like the Wheel of Slime, Keyquest, and Habitarium the most. I also miss the Abandoned Attic, I know it wasn't completely removed, but it's been glitched since 2014 to no longer stock, and since it hasn't been addressed, I'd say it's probably good and gone now.
Another thing I miss is plots. I have no idea if we'll ever see more plots come into play now, the Viacom Era really gave way to some interesting ones. My favorite, to this day, is the Neovia one, and Bruno still remains one of my favorite characters; and the reason I love monstrous characters in the first place. (Ignore this if they have released plots, last I remember was the Faerie Ruin Plot, but I thought that was like the end of the Viacom Era. Not sure if that was actually a JumpStart Era plot.)
Most of all though, I miss the contests and the like. Some still are active, but a lot now seem to be put on an indefinite hiatus. It's sad a lot of the content is now just barely paid attention now.
JumpStart I think may still have time to be a great era, especially since they expressed the reason they purchased Neopets was to focus on the site's now older demographic. But for now, it feels like they still have a long way to go to usurper the Viacom Era.

BEYOND ecstatic now. I got the Faerie Quest Cookie yesterday, and my second quest I got was a Fountain Faerie Quest, with an item that only cost me 5-6k.
My Ixi, Ansolm, is now Chocolate after some heavy debate, since he was my only unpainted pet. Now I just need to customize him for his new color. Will post how he looks soon!
EDIT: Here we go! I got tired of trying to figure out a new customization, so have him with his older one in his new color! It looks a wee bit janky, but he's still cute as a button!

I was actually in a mental ward of a hospital for about four days back in October of 2015. It... well, it wasn't like horrifying, like the horror stories of being pinned down and injected if you so much as spoke a tone they didn't like. But it still felt so dehumanizing, so constrictive to be there.
First, we weren't allowed any electronics. All of ours had to be kept with a safe system, no matter if the electronics were a person's main form of coping (Such as me with my laptop.) No handhelds, no phones, not even something small like a tamagotchi. They said it was to prevent stuff from being damaged, which I can believe to an extent, but as time passed, it felt more like they were punishing you. Making you not be able to contact or enjoy your time.
Second, only one long-distance call a day, and it could only be five minutes long at most. People would be allowed to call you, and if the number was within the area, you could call them whenever, but you had to use these horrible payphones that barely worked to communicate. I remember one flat out couldn't be understood because the static was so bad, and another was so quiet that even on max volume, you couldn't decipher much of anything. There were only two phones.
Third, the only true entertainment was a television, and it had to be turned off by no later than 11 at night. Constant arguments over what to watch was no unusual. People yelling to shut up because the TV also was barely loud enough. Insomnia was punished, as you weren't allowed to leave your room, even if something was wrong like pain or a panic attack. There were constant checks, and if you weren't asleep, you were scolded.
Pretty much the only thing you could really do was try and survive the boredom. Hygiene was always a battle, as the showers were designed to turn off after a few seconds, and you were only allowed an extremely small cupful of soap to bathe with. Like, this cup was about tip of the thumb sized, it wasn't enough to clean you if you had really long or thick hair, and yet it was expected to clean your body and wash your hands with, as well. There was no way to request another cup.
The nurses either didn't care or held some malevolence behind a kind facade. I remember on my day of departure, one nurse that had been so nice to me, said that I would go places from here, that this was only a stop to help recuperate, talk about how we were nothing but mental cases. Some nurses flat out yelled at you if you didn't react as soon as possible, some nurses punished you for the smallest of mistakes. I remember my roommate was pregnant at the time, and whenever she talked about pain, she had to wait over an hour to finally get medication, if not longer.
Men and women were separated, you weren't allowed to go past a certain point in the halls. Be even slightly over the invisible border, and prepare to be yelled at. It didn't matter what you identified as, such as identifying as a trans man; as long as you looked like the gender you was assigned at birth, you had to be on that side. Then again, why would you admit you were trans in a place like this, when they'd probably consider that a form of delusion?
There was a quiet room, a place where people throwing fits were supposed to go. One lady always occupied it. You would hear her scream all day. Whenever it opened, the smell was so overwhelming, it was hard not to gag. Once they put her in a normal room when she was sedated. When she woke up, she opened doors and threatened people that she saw. Never a quiet moment.
When it was time for me to go, they tried their best to try and make me stay. I told the doctors at the point, I wasn't sure what I would do. They took that as a sign of me saying "I wasn't ready to go." I had to stress numerous times that wasn't the case, I was more than ready to get out of dodge. It took hours for me to be discharged, much longer than anticipated.
In a lot of ways, we've come far from what mental health used to be. It wasn't long ago you'd hear of buildings packed with mentally ill or disabled people, treated no better than livestock for the slaughter. But when you find yourself in a beautiful hospital, only to discover your stay is in the oldest, most decrepit part... it reminds you, we still have a long way to go.
I would never go back to a mental ward, even if I truly needed it, now that I've experienced it. I went at first because of constant depression and suicidal thoughts. I left knowing that I'd rather feel like dying while having a way to escape, than be trapped in walls with no way to break free.
There's no reason to be dehumanized like this.
