  1. Hello fellow neopians and beyond. Ever since I have started playing neopets (which is now basically a part of my day/life) I have made my shop a 5 np one. Everything was/is 5 np. No more, no less. But I started thinking... Is it better if I start being a 'normal' shop? With prizes which I think will suit the items to maybe make some more profit? Or will that be like I betray all the people who liked my shop for the 5 np part all these years? I'd like to hear the opinion of all of you whom it may concern. :)
  2. Here's my shop (sell less rarer food and Neggs) http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=willy05052001 TP (100k up) http://www.neopets.com/island/tradingpost.phtml?type=browse&criteria=owner&search_string=willy05052001 Trading post have a special discount code If you Neomail me the code with offer I'll give you 10% off Today's special code "The Black Hole must used bananas" This topic has been edited by a member of staff (Songbirdsara) because of a violation of the forum rules. 3. Hey there :) I don't have ssw and I have just put about 300 items in my shop that now need pricing :( I was wondering, can I used JN to price them or am I better just using the normal shop wizard? Thanks :)
  4. Like the title says, which is better? I can't decide on which to restock and I could use some expert restocking advice since it seems all the restocking guides on the internet are outdated.
  5. Does anyone know if the two Coffee Cave Locations restock at the same time/have the same items at the same time? Thanks!!
  6. A lot of people have different choices of how to earn Neopoints in their shop. I'm curious what the most popular one is... Also I'm bored. :) This topic has been edited by a member of staff (hrtbrk). The topic was posted in the wrong area. 7. Am I the only one who thinks the shop limit is a bit ridiculous? I read ALL about scammers on auctions and the trading post and it makes me nervous to try to sell my magical peach chia pop on the auctions, I've never heard of scammers in shops unless they ask for donations, have contests or somehow get their item to link to some other page that steals NP (to my knowledge, that isn't possible) I think if you could just sell any item for any price in your shop it would cut down massively on scammers in both the trading post and auction house. I just put up my peach pop for auction and I'm very nervous someone will scan me out of it or something :( I'd be so much happier if I could just sell it in my shop for a straight up price, even if I'd get less out of the deal, it feels safer. Can anyone explain the point of in my opinion, the really silly limit of 99,999?
  8. More specifically, walk me through your process. Did you have something specific in mind when you set out, and just pick what was appropriate for that? Did you build your shop around the shopkeeper you like best? For me, I figured that since my Aisha has an Ashlander name, I should stick with that theme. I gave my Dark Faerie shopkeeper a Dunmeri name, had her give a Dunmeri greeting, and called it a corner club. Once I learn how HTML and stuff work, I'll edit even more to make it look like something straight out of Morrowind.
  9. This is a bit long, but some players may appreciate what I'm about to say. I'm only an average game player at best, so instead I spend more time trying to find items I can resell. I snag things from the Thrift Shoppe and Money Tree, and I used to spend a lot of time at the Igloo Garage Sale and other such places where treasures await. I did very well, back when I used to spend a few hours a day at it. Now, it's just a few minutes at a time, but I still enjoy seeing if I can get lucky and grab something worth some extra NP. Several times over the years, while trying to estimate an item at the Wizard, I'll see something that is priced way too low, and then buy it cheaply. However, I always wonder if they actually meant to price it that low, or if it was their mistake. For example, several months ago I got something cheaply, then neomailed them, and it turns out, they did undercharge, and appreciated my willingness to give it back to them so they could resell it at a better price for them. We then became friends. Today, this happened again. I had a few Pirate Cutlass in my shop, and was using the Wizard, and saw a Cutlass for only 1 NP so I bought it. Then, I immediately mailed the seller. Turns out, she did make a mistake. She wasn't too concerned about it, and even said I could keep it. However, I sent another neomail later, asking if we could be Neofriends, so I could give it back to her (haven't heard back yet). Here's where it gets ironic and funny. While transferring one of the Cutlass from my Shop to my Inventory, I accidentally set the price of each sword to only 1 NP--probably the same mistake she had made. Obviously, all 3 of them sold before I could fix the mistake. The ironic part is that, I paid nothing for them, and made nothing (well, 3 NP)--just wasted some picks for the day. I'll never miss the money (only 15,000), but no one likes to do something dumb. (It could have been a lot worse, something rare instead, that was under priced, so maybe it was worth the lesson.) I don't expect any of the buyers to neomail me, asking if I made a mistake. However, it would be nice to know that there are some Neopians who care enough to at least ask if that was what I meant to charge. If they would do just that, I'd gladly let them keep the sword, and maybe I'd get something far more valuable. A new friend, and restored faith in people's honesty and sympathy for others. 0:)
  10. Hello, I haven't found a topic regarding this so I thought I would sign up and check if anyone might know anything about it: Basically I put some items for sale in my store, and after checking the prices in the Shop Wizard, I priced them and left them. A few hours later, I checked my store history and some of these items were bought--for a lower price than they were priced. I'd placed a Bitten Red Apple and a Pear up for sale, both maybe around 1,200-1,500NP each, however they were both sold for only 1000NP. I am pretty sure I did not make a mistake pricing the items, so I was wondering if anyone has ever encountered the same issue? It's not quite a matter of the NP but it just bothers me and I can't help wondering if my account has been compromised or is there some sort of script that enables one to buy things for less than they are worth? I checked the identities of the two (separate) people who made the sale, and I don't want to post their usernames if I am not sure if anything is wrong, but they have items in their shops that are typically ridiculously cheap (Broken Left Sandal and what have you) going for ridiculously high (couple of tens of thousands) prices. Does that signal anything? Thanks for any light that you guys can shed on this topic.
  11. Any tips on restocking? I have seen 5 MPs in the past 30 min but they were all sold out. How are people so fast??? I barely refresh and then click and gone... :S I've lost a Fire Bruce, Island Acara, Brown Ixi, Spotted Kougra, Baby Lupe, Pirate Grundo, and a Grarrl MP. I'm kicking myself for even seeing them and not being fast enough. :sad01_anim: Am I really slow or are people using software?
