  1. I don't know if this is the right category, But I know coding and such but I don't know how to code the main stuff like the options to click everything uptop like on games, explore, and such. What codes should I add into my REMOVED? This post has been edited by a member of staff (hrtbrk) because of a violation of the forum rules. Please do not use curse words in your posts. 2. Hi guys, I have seen this sometimes in certain userlookups that have a picture on the side or bottom that appears to be in the foreground. It stays in place and scrolls with you. I have been been looking through countless guides to try and learn how to do this but I cannot find info or figure it out. I do know it is something to do with hovering, but I don't know how to make the image appear in front of everything. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  3. I'm pretty new to this and terrible at finding good guides. Has anyone found any really good guides that explained everything in a way that's easy to understand? Or even books I could check my university library for? My only coding knowledge at the moment is with C++ and it's pretty basic, not to mention fairly different from what I can see in HTML.
  4. So I recently started a guild and have been working on coding day in and day out. I'm a little be pooped out and my brain isn't finding simple fixes at the moment. I'm trying to figure out why the "poll" options aren't showing up on the Guild HQ page. The link to that is here ----> http://www.neopets.com/guilds/guild.phtml?id=4176228 My current coding is this; <style> #header, #footer, .sidebar, #ban, table table table table table, .contentHeader, .contentModuleHeaderAlt, .contentHeader a, .content table table img { display: none; } .content table .content table img { display: inline; } #main { background: none; margin-top: 0px; margin-left: 0px; border: none; } table, td, tr { background: none; } .content p { margin-top: -30px; } body { background: url("https://farm1.staticflickr.com/25/62666535_0a7513949f.jpg") repeat-x #000000; } table table table table { width: 195px; margin-left: 216px; margin-top: 471px; background: #EBDFD2; padding: 3px; } td font { font: 10.5pt "century gothic"; line-height: 25px; color: #555555; } #pic { left: 100px; top: 0px; z-index: -1; } #text { left: 452px; top: 480px; width: 500px; z-index: 2; font: 8.5pt verdana; color: #4B4B4B; text-transform: none; line-height: 18px; } #textbox { background: #FFF4F4; padding: 10px; margin-bottom: 10px; } a:link, a:visited { color: #9A92AB; font-weight: bold; } a:hover { color: #B5A9BD; } b { color: #774589; font-weight: bold; } i { color: #BE3371; font: 8.5pt georgia; font-style: italic; } h1 { font: 9pt impact; text-transform: uppercase; letter-spacing: 3px; color: #4E2C78; border-bottom: 5px solid #EFE3D9; margin: 0px 0px 3px 0px; } #nav { left: 150px; top: 451px; width: 850px; z-index: 2; text-align: center; } .nav a:link, .nav a:visited { font: 10.5pt "century gothic"; text-transform: uppercase; font-weight: bold; letter-spacing: 2px; color: #FFF4F4; padding: 0px 8px 0px 8px; padding-top: 15px; } .nav a:hover { color: #BB2F72; background: url("http://img651.imageshack.us/img651/6714/pijltje.png") center top no-repeat; } </style><img src="http://i66.tinypic.com/sgophi.jpg" id="pic" style="position: absolute; left: 300px"><div id="nav" class="nav" style="position: absolute; left: 300px; top: 425px;"> <a href="/myaccount.phtml">account</a> <a href="/customise/">customise</a> <a href="/games/arcade.phtml">games</a> <a href="/explore.phtml">explore</a> <a href="/nf.phtml">news</a> <a href="/petcentral.phtml">central</a> <a href="/neoboards/index.phtml">boards</a> <a href="/objects.phtml">shops</a> <a href="/mall/index.phtml">nc mall</a> </div> <div id="text" style="position: absolute;"> <div style="z-index:2;position:absolute;top:0px;left:550px;width:148px;text-align:center;"> <h1><font id="ht"><b>Navigation</b></font></h1> <a href="http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=rockangel_star">Donation Shop</a><br> <a href="http://www.neopets.com/~asuna_chan777">Guild Info</a><br> <a href="http://www.neopets.com/~kiyokosilla">Wishes Granted</a><br> <a href="http://www.neopets.com/~Illusen_the_Sh_6_6_6r">FAQ</a><br> <h1><font id="ht"><b>Resources</b></font></h1> <a href="http://www.neopets.com/~roberta_enchantress">Member Wishlist's</a><br> <a href="http://items.jellyneo.net/wishlists/sign-up/">Create a Wishlist</a><br> <h1><font id="ht"><b>Member of the Month</b></font></h1> Coming soon! <br> </div> <div id="textbox"> <h1><center>Welcome to The Kindness Project</center></h1> We here at the TKP are dedicated to spreading joy all over Neopia!   6. I've been out of the game too long and can't remember most of my old coding tricks. I'm looking for someone who is proficient in HTML to help me with a little problem I'm having with my neo signature. I am trying to accomplish something like what is posted below. Any help or suggestions are appreciated.                    ✶ ✶         ✶     ✶         ✶       ✶   ✶     ✶         ✶ ✶
  7. So by "help" I mean "I've never coded HTML in my life besides basic text things like superscript or making text bold, and I have no clue where to start." So I want to finally get around to making some fancy pet pages, however I don't know how to code HTML. Does anyone have advice or tips for a beginner pet page maker? I'd also like to submit that I can indeed code JavaScript and processing.js with relative ease. So I'm not a complete newbie to coding, just a complete newbie to coding HTML.
  8. I had just spent hours getting all of my pet lookups and my user lookup to be perfect, and now they are all gone. I know that with the maintence, one the of the problems they are fixing is the missing html for these pages, but will they be restored, or will I have to spend another afternoon fixing it all up again? I just dont wanna waste my time now for them to all disappear again. Any ideas? Thanks!
  9. I have an avatars petpage. and I'd like to use the following code on it However, everytime I submit it , the three last sections ( Battledome, Retired/Annual and Others) simply don't appear! You can check how it looks here , I managed to make it work with one avatar in each section, and them put the images on the battledome section. However, if I try to add the images for the other two sections, all three disappear! Please help, I'm desperate! Edit: I just realized that the "others" section disappeared too! ARG
  10. Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me. I am wanting to add a scroll box with my pets on my page something like this http://www.neopets.com/userlookup.phtml?user=princ3sscouture Also is there anyway the picture will update whenever I change their customization? I had posted this before, but it got deleted (I Think I posted it in the wrong area) so I lost the code:( This topic has been edited by a member of staff (Rune Valentine). 12. Hi! I recently started to think of coding my userlookup and petpages because I know a bit HTML (created my own website for a school assignment) and I thought it looked really cool. I got some premade templates for my user lookup and two petpages but I need some help. On some user lookups you can see more than 5 pets displaying, although they're not all on the same account because this is impossible. I want to know how that works and what code you need to have to show more Neopets! If you could help me out, answer this topic or send me a Neomail. I really want to know how it works! My user lookup is CSS. Thanks in advance! xx Tess ps. sorry if this isn't the right place to post this question but I thought it's about coding for Neopets so..
  13. Hi there, I'm usually pretty good at figuring my way around html/css coding on Neopets. However, I have a problem that I can't seem to figure out or find an answer to. I've been helping a friend create her userlookup and she created her own images for the userinfo and usercollections modules. I've found so many codes on this, so I thought this would be no problem. But it's driving me nuts! If need be, here is the full CSS code: <style> #ban, hr, .sidebar, #nst, .user, .bb, .brand-mamabar, #superfooter, #userneohome, #userneopets .contentModuleHeaderAlt, #footer, #habitarium, #ncmall, .contentModuleHeader, .contentModuleHeaderAlt { display: none; } .content div a img, .content div b { visibility: hidden; } #userinfo .medText table table img, .contentModule div a img, .contentModule div b, #abouts b, #abouts a img { visibility: visible; } .contentModule div a img, .contentModule div b { visibility: visible !important; } #template_nav { margin-top: 620px; margin-left: 0px; width: 850px !important; position: absolute; } #header img { width: 0px; } #template_nav img { padding-right: 7px; padding-left: 7px; width: 80px; visibility: hidden; display: block; } P, body, td, table { font: 11px verdana !important; font-weight: normal; color: #FFFFFF; } table, table td { border: 0px !important; } body { background: #6FE3C0 url("http://img690.imageshack.us/img690/8834/4v8a.jpg") top left; background-attachment: fixed; } A:link, A:visited, A:active { font-weight: bold; color: #ffffff; } A:hover { font-weight: bold; color: #6FE3C0; } #header { width: 844px; height: 734px; margin-top: -740px; position: absolute; background: url("http://img571.imageshack.us/img571/3954/py7i.png") top center no-repeat; border: 0px; } #main { background: transparent url("http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/5412/5gev.png") 5px 0px no-repeat; border: none; width: 834px; height: 1935px; padding: 0px; margin-top: 734px; } #content { width: 100%; padding: 0px; position: absolute; } #userneopets { top: -20px; position: relative; width: 810px !important; height: 280px !important; display: block; left: 10px; } #userneopets .medText b { color: #FFFFFF !important; } #usertrophies { position: absolute; display: block; top: 1455px; left: 24px; width: 790px; height: 400px !important; overflow: auto; } #userinfo { position: absolute; top: 1070px; left: 400px; width: 420px; height: 270px !important; } #userinfo .contentModuleContent { background: url("http://s1.postimg.org/abizgf6jz/All_2.png"); background-repeat: no-repeat; background-position: center; } #userinfo .medText table table img, #userinfo .medText img { visibility: hidden; display: table-cell; height: 50px; } #usershop { position: absolute; top: 690px; left: 597px; width: 203px; } #usershop img { visibility: hidden; display: table-cell; height: 180px; } #usershop .contentModuleContent { background: url("http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/891/i5x5.gif"); background-repeat: no-repeat; } #usercollections { position: absolute; top: 690px; left: 290px; } #usercollections td.medText { line-height: 10px !important; } #usercollections td { padding: 0px !important; } #abouts { position: absolute; top: 345px; left: 30px; width: 510px; height: 250px; overflow: auto; font: normal 13px century gothic; text-align: center; padding-right: 5px; } #abouts b { color: #5DFBD6; } .contentModuleContent { background: transparent; } ul.dropdown { border: 1px dotted #099A95; background: #ffffff; } .dropdown li a { color: #000000 !important; font-weight: bold; font: bold 14px comic sans ms; } .dropdown li a:hover { color: #31C2B6 !important; } </style> #userinfo is where I currently am #userinfo .contentModuleContent { background: url("http://s1.postimg.org/abizgf6jz/All_2.png"); background-repeat: no-repeat; background-position: center; } #userinfo .medText table table img, #userinfo .medText img { visibility: hidden; display: table-cell; height: 50px; } Now...I know to remove the icon pictures, I need to have the visibility hidden, display table-cell, and height 50 px. That is what every single guide I could find has told me. And I believe it because I had no problem with this coding for the shop image. However, when I put this coding in, the original userinfo icons WILL NOT go away. The shield is gone, but the icons remain. The only way I can get the icons to go away is if instead of putting visibility: hidden, I put display: none. However, then I can't click the links for the icons. Not only this, but when I tried to move onto the #usercollections section and tried doing the same thing as everything else, my entire userlookup goes haywire. My shop and userinfo won't show up, the pets get knocked down into another section, the Stamp and KeyQuest icons remain and are off quilter while all of the other images disappear and the links remain in the same place. And all I touched was the #usercollections section with the same coding as every guide has told me to use. All and all, I need help. I desperately need help because I am downright confused. Absolutely befuddled. If anyone would be willing to help me out, I would be eternally grateful. Even if you can just offer me some tips and suggestions on what I could be doing wrong. To recap, I want to replace the icons for the userinfo and usercollections sections. I had no problem replacing the usershop image, but these two sections are giving me nothing but problems. Please help. Even if you just take the time to read this, thank you. If there is any additional information needed, please let me know. I really need help.
  14. Firstly, I've been having some problems with the formatting of my user lookups. The position of my banner image and textboxes moves around for no apparent reason; one week it'll be centred like it's supposed to be (like this), the next it'll be too far right, then when I fix that it eventually ends up too far left (like this). The only thing I ever change is the left div alignment. Secondly, my main account was compromised a couple of weeks ago. I opened Neopets one morning to find I'd been logged out, when I logged in I noticed a few things missing/changed (I'd rather not be more specific). I immediately changed my passwords/PINs/associated email addresses, scanned my computer, and sent a ticket; but no response yet. I know that in these circumstances accounts are often "frozen for your protection", but mine hasn't, and I was wondering whether or not I should be using it as normal? I suspect it may have been my ex as he knew my password and could have guessed my PIN, I just don't understand why he'd do something so petty after so long when he doesn't care at all about Neopets (lesson learned). Point being that if it was him, it's unlikely to happen again, and he doesn't have an account to report (that I know of).

    I am kinda a newbie at HTML but I know some. I want to know about Neopets and HTML. Questions: 1) Can I put a form on a pet lookup? 2) Even if I can't put a form, I still want to know how do I get the info that people put in the form, to be sent to my email? (I have searched all of google for this and I am just super confused!) 3) I have problems with my background. I tried to create a pet lookup and everything was correct except when I used Dreamweaver to check my code, it showed the background, but when you viewed my pet lookup, the background had disappeared. How does that just happen?
  16. Is there any way of tracking what stamps I need, without always inputting all those codes? If not, that would an awesome feature of TDN. I know.. it's easier said than done but it would be a big help!
  17. This is probably a really stupid question, but I'll ask nonetheless... I am trying to revamp my User Lookup, but am having a hard time changing my header (The Kougra Keeper) font. my lookup. The font I want to use is called "Bigeow Rules" and can be found on the Google fonts website... I followed the instructions on the site, but with no luck. Maybe I have my coding weird? IDK. Please help. ):
  18. Like many people, I find myself in want of certain avatars. Namely, BGC, MSPP, and SUAP. While I occasionally participate in the chats that occur on the neoboards, I'm not quite sure what to put down in my "application" post. I know lenders are looking for trustworthiness and dedication, but those things are rather difficult to quantify. Would someone care to enlighten me? I've been working on my account for about a year, but it's really young compared to most of the accounts I've seen that are still looking to borrow these elusive items. And I feel rather inadequate when I compare my achievements to that of other people... Also, I really don't like how little space you get to work with on the neoboards. There is a lot I could say about myself/my accounts/my Neopets experience/whatever, but there simply isn't enough room for everything, even boiled down to bullet points. I know putting everything on a petpage would give me a ton more space to work with, but do lenders actually look at applications people make? Is just making a page at all, regardless of quality, enough or should I learn HTML and get original artwork for it? (If the latter is the case, can someone recommend a person/page I can go to in order to get art/knowledge from?) And, last but not least, how much do lenders care about vouchers? A little while ago, a lovely user on the neoboards vouched for me because they said my account looks great. I have it saved on a computer, but I'd like to know how much it matters and if I should be looking for more.
  19. Since I am a web designer, I somehow became a good beginner at the CSS for Pet Pages. So here's what my code looks like: -------------------------------------------- <style> body{ background:#FFFFFF; background-position:50% 50% } body, div, a{ font: 14 pt arial; color: #FFFFFF; text-align:center; border: 2pt; } h1 { height: 15px; text-transform: lowercase; font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial Black; text-align: center; color: #FFFFFF; background:url("http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/a576/SmileDreamly/Header_zps96cc7496.png"); background-repeat: no-repeat; } #nav { top: 205px; left: 75px; width: 630px; height: 30px; z-index: 3; } #nav a { text-decoration:none; color:#FFFFFF padding-left: 23px; padding-right: 23px; } #nav a:hover { color: #00E9F5; } a:link, a:active, a:visited { text-decoration: none; color: #0051FF; } a:hover { color: #927F44; } b { font: 7pt verdana; color: #8FB677; border-bottom: 1px dotted #7f7f7f; font-weight: bold; } #pic { left: 0px; top: 0px; right: 50px; width: 780px; height: 600px; background: url("http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/a576/SmileDreamly/background_zps92bbfe53.png"); z-index: -1; background-position: 50% 13% } #info { left: 74px; top: 235px; width: 632px; z-index: 2; padding: 0px; } .footer { width: 632px; padding: 5px 0px; background-color: #C0D6B2; border: 1px solid #759B60; color: #000000; z-index: 4; text-align: center; } table { background: none; } table a img, center p { height: 0px; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; } ----------------------------- But it shows nothing... At all. What's the reason for this? By the way the code help is by SunnyNeo. I just made the code as my own layout as in pictures and font family.
  20. Here's my HTML file: Here's my error message when I go to try and run it: Don't know what to do, mainly because the error is non-sensical.
  21. I know how to put all your pets there, but how can I make it like this? (These images are not mine, just to show you if you don't want to click on the link :D) I don't want to have her theme or anything, I love mine! But it would be great to be able to list all my pets this way where my pets on my main are listed (not somewhere else twice or anything) How can I make small images of my pets and how can I put this directly underneath my pets? It would be great if someone knows how <3
  22. Hi there, I need a bit of help with my Pet's Lookup. If you forum users wouldn't mind, I wish to ask a few questions about my Mutant Aisha Jojohanna's Lookup. Ignore low quality image of pet; my flash render quality was set to low to let Habitarium run smoother) Is there any way to center and resize these pieces of text? Anyone know how to remove the white colored "I" shaped bars in your "stats and attributes" table? Can I replace these images (Petpet, neomail owner button, pet page button, stars) with ones of my own? I still want them to be usable, just with different images, because the non-transparency bothers me quite a bit. If anyone could help me out at all, I would really appreciate it! EDIT - Oh, I had forgotten to add that I wish to know how to change the species text color! I was able to change the color of "Jojohanna the" and "Aisha", but "Mutant" continues to keep its default color. Anyone know how to edit its color?
