What do I do?

So I was on my side accounts feeding my Cybunny and I got a random event that gave me 5,000 Neopoints. Should I transfer the NP to my main? I was going to just use it to put my pets in the Neolodge. In a 5 star hotel :yum:

If it were my neopoints, and this is just my opinion, I would put my pets in a 5-star hotel :P

Of course, you could also transfer them to your main, if that's what you want to do. I only ever transfer RE:s from my side account to my main when they give me a codestone (^w^)

I'd keep it just so I don't have to transfer NPs over at a later date. /lazy

From the "Multiple Accounts" section of the Help Page:

What is the difference between a "main account" and a "side account"?

 

Only one of your Neopets accounts can be designated as a main account.

Users should use their main account to earn Neopoints, play Flash games, manage their shops, and do the site's dailies. It is against the rules for side accounts to earn Neopoints, play Flash games, etc. You may transfer Neopoints from your main account to a side account in order to purchase food and other items for the Neopets on the side account. Users who earn Neopoints on their side accounts are in violation of the site rules and could have their accounts frozen.

 

It doesn't mention random events

. Are you willing to take the chance? Personally, I would donate it out of fear of both my accounts being frozen.

It has been officially stated on multiple occasions that receiving rewards from random events on side accounts is absolutely fine.

Whatever you'd like. It's comparable to a Random Event, as there is no way for you to control receiving the Neopoints. You can keep it on your side account to feed your Neopets there or send it to your main account.

Is this the anonymous edition of the Editorial or something? o_O Anyway, anything from Random Events on any account is yours to keep, as you can't control getting them. So yes, send it off to your main and enjoy your good luck. :)

Heya, TNT. I was kinda wondering about something. I'm pretty sure you guys said that we wouldn't be held accountable if we found a codestone on the ground while exploring the vast reaches of Neopia, but what exactly are we allowed to do with the Neopoints, map pieces, and books that come from Random Events? We can't sell them or anything, but can we use them, or send them to our main account for use, or do they just kinda have to rot for years in our Safety Deposit Boxes? ~praetor_tomalack

If you find an item via a Random Event on your side account, then you're welcome to send it to your main account and sell it. Or, if you would like to use it on your side account -- for example, if it's food you could feed it to your Neopet, or if it's a book you could read it to your Neopet, or if it's a codestone you could train your Neopet on that account -- then that would be okay. :)

I was on my side account one day and I got a Transmogrification Potion from Dr. Sloth. Is it against the rules to take that Transmogrification Potion from your side account and sell it on your main account? ~ sandrasung123

Congrats on the visit from Dr. Sloth! You'll be happy to know that it is not against the rules to send any items you receive from Random Events on your side accounts to your main account to sell. You are also free to use them on any of your accounts if you decide to keep them, instead.

On my side account, I've received a number of Random Events yielding some nice items (like codestones). Could I send them to my main account? I mean, you can't disable Random Events, since they just randomly pop up. It's not profit purposely made by the player. Please remove my username if this question is published, by the way. Yes, as long as you aren't attempting to abuse the system (refreshing for Random Events on multiple accounts/browsers) or anything like that, sending items you receive as Random Events to your main account is fine. :)

It'd just be too cruel to make you keep this in your side account!
