Hello, everybody, and welcome! Matt here, reporting live from the TDN newsroom! Let's get right to it with the results from the Alabriss Bracket.

derbi da kau First off, we take a look at the match between Lost Desert and Shenkuu. The match was off to a good start for the Ninjas, as they were leading for the first half of the game, but the Mummies kicked it into high gear in the latter half. Derbi Azar, Lost Desert's right forward, led the Mummies to victory, scoring goal after goal relentlessly! As the final whistle blew and the dust settled, the Mummies took Yooyuball with a close score of 5-4. The Ninjas quickly retaliated, cheering at the highest despite their loss, and producing slushies like mad, netting them the win in both games. Both teams went blow for blow in Shootout Showdown, the officials declaring it a draw after a grueling hour of penalty shots. The jelly Chia had to rest sooner or later!

flaming dinosaur The Minions and the Pirates didn't perform at their best today, as they allowed themselves to be swept by the Zombies and Fossils, respectively. Some Tyrannian fans I talked with said that they were overjoyed to see that Tyrannia hasn't fallen into that post-victory slump most winners of the Altador Cup experience, and that they're anxious to see what more the Fossils can accomplish in the near future.

That wraps up the Alabriss Bracket! Now let's venture forth into the results from the Minitheus Bracket.

sad faerie blum No surprise in the match between Faerieland and Moltara, as the Magmas were able to sweep the Faeries! Moltara, not allowing the Faeries to come close to swiping a game from them, posted up scores well out of the Faerie's reach, if were significantly lower than previous days. If these two ever cross again, the Magmas have it in their best interests not to underestimate the might of the Faeries, as they have pulled off many an upset before.

plushie skeith from brightvale The Wizards took the field by storm today! The Moons weren't able to keep up with the Wizards' tricks, allowing Brightvale to take Yooyuball with the final score tallying at 6-4. The Wizards were lacking on the side game front, however, as the Moons were able to successfully pull off a side sweep with considerable margins. The Wizards' plan to focus on Yooyuball might not have been a good idea as their side game scores were dismal.

KIKO lake not KIKO and PEOPHIN lake The Kikos had a great game today as they snagged Yooyuball in a close game with the Knights, the final score at 6-5. The Kikos also managed to take a victory in Slushie Slinger, their different assortment of exotic concoctions netting them the win. The Knights were able to rally back and cheer to their fullest extent - the Kikos just couldn't withstand the volume of the Knights' powerful chants, giving the win to Meridell. Both teams were able to tie in Shootout Showdown, as neither could score more goals than the other and as stated before, the jelly Chia has places to be, and things to see. The Knights will be looking to see if they can regroup and revert back to their original ways. Now I hand the report over to Midtime, who's waiting to give you the results from the Vaeolus Bracket. Midtime?

Midtime?

[The reporter quickly turns around.]

"Oh - Greetings, every one! A pleasure to see you again. As for the results - the Vaeolus Bracket is as full of Yooyuball games as ever! There, I think I'm getting better at compensating for not being ready…

can yooyus breathe underwater "Um. The Altadorian Suns must face another overcast day to-day. While their match against Maraqua was their closest yet, few fans can manage to smile about it, as Altador's first win looks only further away. That's not to say that they've given up hope, however - much to the contrary, team captain 'Trapper' Remis credited his team and supporters for keeping his thinking positive - 'This match gave us a good chance to really test our game and see the flaws. It's been said that champions can't afford to rely on their past successes - they've got to keep improving, because the other teams aren't just going to sit still. We may not be champions yet, but that goes for everyone.' The Mermaids don't seem to be taking their future success for granted, either, having already retired to prepare for to-morrow's match.

roo island logo logo is a weird word "The Rooligans have been having a fantastic second round, winning every match they've been in so far, and despite Terror Mountain's brave efforts they are still on a roll. But Chiller fans found much to cheer about in the shootouts, and for all their enthusiasm throughout the game, it seemed very much as if the game were slanted in their favour. While their moods have dulled somewhat in light of the results, the overall sentiment remains positive, as the accomplishment brings new hope after the team's crushing losses against the Natives and the Robots.

Cybunny who also kicks butt "Team Virtupets, of course, is still running at full speed - nothing seems to have changed except the victim. Though the Natives have had high hopes for their future over the past few days, Virtupets have crushed much stronger before, and their perfect record remains unblemished. Mystery Island supporters are dejected, and look forward to another solid victory in future to reaffirm their confidence. I am afraid there is no way of confirming how the team themselves reacted to their loss, however, as captain Volgoth retired directly after the match and could not be reached for comment.

"That's all for to-day, dear viewers! I'll be sending you back to Matt to wrap up the report and inform you of the matches to watch for to-morrow. Pax vobiscum.

"Now, where is Austin? Look for the moustache, they said - can't hide that so easily…"

[As the reporter pulls out a pair of binoculars and turns back towards the crowd, muttering to himself, the feed switches back to Matt at the studio.]

Always a pleasure, Midtime. Keep an eye out for the match between Darigan Citadel and Krawk Island! Both teams suffered a defeat at the hands of the powerhouses of their bracket yesterday, and today they'll both be looking for redemption. It'll certainly be a close one, as the Minions are currently third and the Pirates fourth in their bracket. Both teams will be vying for a higher position in the Alabriss Bracket. That's all for today! On behalf of the entire Altador Cup staff here at The Daily Neopets, this is Matt signing off!
