Hello and welcome to The Daily Neopets' Daily Coverage on the Altador Cup. I'm Miko, reporting live from the TDN Sports Center. The first round of the Altador Cup has just ended and we have all the details on the games and the standings. We have a lot to get to today, so let's get started.

Natives Undefeated in YooyuballThe Alabriss Bracket started off with Darigan Citadel's victory over Virtupets, despite dropping the (Yooyu)Ball. The Minions were on point throughout the first round of these games and are quickly rising up to remedy their first day blunders. Lost Desert were also victorious over Shenkuu, giving them another win under the belt. The Ninjas unfortunately are not performing as well as many had anticipated and fans were left decimated. And once again, Tyrannia gave us another impressive performance as they won their match against Mystery Island, but the latter team deserves a hand for being the first team to take a game off the seemingly unstoppable Fossils and having a currently perfect Yooyuball win streak.

Faeries SoarKrawk Island swabbed the deck with Moltara in the first game of the Minitheus Bracket, quickly regaining momentum after their little meet up with Kiko Lake yesterday. The team was later seen celebrating with other teams at the slushie counter, and it looked like Hale was paying; an echo of what happened last year. And speaking of the Kikos, they kept their momentum as they triumphed over the Altador Suns, though their defense was weak enough for the Suns to take Shootout Showdown. But Haunted Woods lost all their momentum as they were swept off their feet by Faerieland in all four games. We tried to have a few words from the team, but one look at the players gave everyone cold feet. This is Faerieland's second streak of the season and they are off to a high flying start! It will be interesting to see of the Faerie's can keep up this momentum and finally break out of the shadows.

Terror Mountain WinThe Vaeolus Bracket was the bracket of surprises this Altador Cup and it did not disappoint us today. Terror Mountain were hoping - praying - for a victory against Roo Island, and at first it looked to be another sweep against them as they dropped the cups in Slushie Slinger and came quiet in Make Some Noise. But their Yooyuball skills were finally coming to light at last as they edged out the Rooligans in both Shootout Showdown and the main event Yooyuball, forcing a tie. It was not a win, but it was a much needed step in the right direction for the Chillers. The next match however had everyone wondering if they were dreaming. It was either a very good day for Brightvale or an extremely bad day for Kreludor as the Moons were demolished by margins that make the Snowager look tiny. I mean - 13 to 1?! I'm not even going to sugarcoat this - nobody saw this coming. Especially not the Moons. The Wizards has surprised us once more. And another surprise was just coming around the corner. The Merieill Knights swept the Maraqua Mermaids in all four games. The Mermaids who had been looking extremely strong through the first few days now seems to be stuck in a dead spot. Though many are betting on a podium finish from them, they need to keep their workload up.

And on that note, that is all for tonight. Join me again in a few days, when Round 2 kicks off! Until then, this is Miko from TDN signing off. Good night Neopia!
