Welcome to the Daily Neopets' Report on the Altador Cup, Round 3! Once again, I'm Miko live in the stands of the Yooyuball Stadium. Some fans are still here, but most have moved outside to celebrate a day where the leaders' momentum came to a much needed halt.

Knockdown to BrightvaleLet's start off with the Alabriss bracket where low-ranking team Lost Desert stunned sports fans and commentators alike as they managed a tie against first placed Brightvale. This came as a surprise for the Wizards as Lost Desert weren't actually in top shape leading up to the match. But a tie is a tie, and better luck next time. The other two matches were swept rather predictably as Shenkuu continued to show strength and Moltara continued to lose it - resulting in an all-out sweep in favor of Shenkuu. Terror Mountain started to slip as Kiko Lake took 3 games and only left Shootout Showdown for the Chillers.

Rise to FameIn the Minitheus Bracket Faerieland continued their rise to glory as they swept all four games from Roo Island. It's another win for these fan favorites and their powerful performance is putting them in arm's reach of the Cup. But Mystery Island is looking to prevent that as they took 3 games against the Altador Suns, with them managing to secure the goal to get Shootout Showdown. Both teams are new to the big leagues, but their hunger is strong. Meridell ended the bracket with a near-sweep of Virtupets.

Victory over Fossils at LastThe Vaeolus Bracket had two pairs of sweeps - Darigan Citadel winning Kreludor and Haunted Woods getting decimated by Maraqua. But the match that excited everyone is the last. Tyrannia finally hit a speed bump in their journey to be the winners as Krawk Island managed to draw them out by winning Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise. This however may prove futile as Tyrannia continues to be a dominating force in the bracket. And going back for a while - Maraqua's wins have finally proven that it has climbed out of their funk and are now back in the running for the cup.

Well that's all for today! There were some great games today, and also some predictable ones. Let us all see what comes next. Until next time, this is Miko signing off. Good night Neopia!

  • 3 weeks later...

Hey, cool pictures! Were they here before? I am so zoned out from today's (6/17's) AC games.  :laughingsmiley:

I probably got to them late. Things have been crazy busy around here the last few weeks with my girls and I haven't had much time to keep up with things.
