Trading post etiquette

Hi everyone, this is my first time posting! I've also just experienced my first successful trade on the trading post. I accepted an offer, but also received quite a lot neomails from people with offers for the item. Is it common courtesy to reply to all neomails informing them I have accepted another offer? Or do I save myself the time and let them figure it out for themselves? As a Brit I can't bear to be impolite haha :)

When you decline their offer they receive a message saying your offer was declined.  They are not left wondering.  If you want to say something to them, I suppose you could, but it would be redundant and really not necessary.  Hope that helps.  Congrats on your successful trade.

Thanks for replying! Sorry, I should have been more specific. No one made me an actual offer through the trading post, they simply neomailed me personally asking if I would accept a certain price in advance of making an actual offer. So they wouldn't get an actual rejection message from TNT

I usually do. You don't have to make something big and fancy. Just come up with one reply, and copy and paste it into all of the offers.

Something like:

"Hello! Thank-you for your offer! However, I have already accepted another offer. Thank-you again!"

It's short, sweet and to the point and doesn't leave anyone hanging.

I agree. In the few times I have been in the reverse situation I really appreciated getting that nm :)
