I understand where you are coming from... that doesn't mean I wouldn't vote for someone if I wanted to necessarily.. but I definitely get the point that it makes the contest about something other than what it is supposed to be (or at least adds another layer). I love voting in the beauty contest ... even more if I don't know anyone whose pet is in it lol.
